Updates seem to be occurring on any weekday... we still have three of those left this week!

Like some other people, I got an overnight teaser -- the eCas became active (but only showed the old PR app, not the citizenship one), then the next day, it was inactive again. I'll get concerned if it doesn't go active again by the end of this month.

If you know the address is wrong, I'd fix it. If you're just worried because you haven't received the documents -- I'm pretty sure they don't get sent until they start processing (despite what eCas says about when they were mailed). Consider giving it a little longer (i.e. enough time to get...

I'll let you know in three weeks, as long as they stay on track.

Did you send it to CPC-Sydney, and the eCas shows "Vancouver" somewhere? Or did I miss something somewhere where you could send it to a local office?

Mine, too. I seem to remember that happening when we did the PR, as well... it would show up, then it would go away, only to come back again later. Gives me GREAT confidence in the computer systems in use at CIC...

They returned your application (that they had received May 1) to you in time to resubmit by May 8? Wow! That was quick turn-around. And also gives hope that anyone whose package hasn't been returned within a week or so has submitted a "complete" application.

Not in process as far as I know. But I'm assuming it's been received and opened and attached to the client file (hence eCas being active again). The bottom line is two-fold: one, they seem to be trying to streamline process; two, your work history has absolutely no bearing on whether you...

eCas became active yesterday, showing only the old PR application. It's not yet listing the Citizenship one, nor that it is in progress... presumably this means that we've become an "active client" again, but it's not clear what that really means in the application sense.

Nope. I followed the enclosures list. The work records mentioned in that question appeared to be a poor edit and misplaced comma, in my view. No one has mentioned having their application returned due to lack of it.

I used Client ID # -- the same one as from your PR app.

    How powerful is your passport

Yes, but if the State Department catches you, you can be subject to harsh penalties, both financial and jail time. Just because you can do it, doesn't make it legal. :) In fact, a lot of people also fly north to Canada, to get their flight to Cuba. I suspect it's largely a "don't ask, don't...

    How powerful is your passport

For clarification: the US currently has a trade embargo against Cuba. This embargo makes it illegal for American Citizens to spend any money with or in Cuba, without special approval from the State Department. Special approval may be granted for educational, research and cultural exchanges...

Well, just so we're clear, eCas hasn't shown anything about the Citizenship app yet for us. It's just that we can now log in to it again (and see that the PR application is "Complete"). Have those April folks seen their login ability change yet?

Our eCas became active today. It doesn't show anything about the Citizenship application (only the 4-year old PR one), but today is the first time it's shown anything since we sent in the Citizenship app.
