Ondang: Can you please tell what was the specific reason of your return of application?

Hi its a school records of my kids that did not cover the 4 yrs period for my son who's in grade 2 right now, and they did not accept the school record that i submitted for my daughter and my son, it was really confussing bec. I attached letter and attendance record for my son and letter, trancript of record and report card for my daughter but in the letter they said i did not provided report cards trascript or attendance record.........so i make an explanation and attached the report card and kindergarten diploma for my son. My thinking maybe they are looking for report card for both, instead attendance for my son and report card for mydaughter

I recently discovered that the Adult citizenship application form was changed in April in Q. 6F and work record is being sought along with application although no mention of it has been done on the checklist or the guide.

Is everyone sending their work record/income related document alongwith their application?

What kind of work record income documents are you sending ( or sent)?

What if someone is on OSAP?

Has someone's application from May/2014 group application returned because of the missing work record/income related documents?

I recently discovered that the Adult citizenship application form was changed in April in Q. 6F and work record is being sought along with application although no mention of it has been done on the checklist or the guide.

Nope. I followed the enclosures list. The work records mentioned in that question appeared to be a poor edit and misplaced comma, in my view.

Has someone's application from May/2014 group application returned because of the missing work record/income related documents?

No one has mentioned having their application returned due to lack of it.

I see that you application is already in process without even sending those documents. It is strange though that even though it has been stated in the question 6F to provide the photocopies of work and/or education related documents, it is not mentioned anywhere else in the checklist and guide. (I completely agree with your opinion about the syntax of the question)

I also see that people have different opinion about this question : some are actually sending them though relying on their own judgment regarding which document will suffice the requirement.

Has anyone tried to get it verified from the CIC call centre on this issue of work related documents?

As you said, no one that we heard of have got their file returned then that implies that is not the requirement but how can we ignore something that is mentioned on the question itself?

I dont think Doctorb application is in progress yet. What he/she posted is just the CanadaPost tracking info, not the ecas update. Late April applicants still don't see an ecas update.

eCas became active yesterday, showing only the old PR application. It's not yet listing the Citizenship one, nor that it is in progress... presumably this means that we've become an "active client" again, but it's not clear what that really means in the application sense.

Not in process as far as I know. But I'm assuming it's been received and opened and attached to the client file (hence eCas being active again).

The bottom line is two-fold: one, they seem to be trying to streamline process; two, your work history has absolutely no bearing on whether you qualify for citizenship -- you can be unemployed, fully-employed, or something in-between, and it doesn't affect it. So why should they want the extra paper and process?

If I had to prove it, I would provide copies of pay stubs for the entire time of employment. If those weren't on hand, I'd include the T4 and a letter explaining -- and possibly even a letter from the employer if possible.

Again -- I don't think they're required. Until someone hears otherwise (via a returned application or docs request), I'm sticking to this.

Well, again, I don't think they're required because they don't really prove anything material to the application. They could go to support physical presence, but that's about it. It's sort of mentioned in the question, but it's small print and seems to have just been a slip-up. They tell you specifically to look at the "Gather Documents" section, and the Checklist to make sure you included everything -- if it's not on those, then can it really be missing?

As per CIC phone representative they are currently working on applications rec'd up to April 24th....bleh looks like it might be another month to see anything on eCAS.

My first application rec'd May 1st was returned because the stamp was missing on the photos then resubmitted applications and it arrived May 8th.

They returned your application (that they had received May 1) to you in time to resubmit by May 8?

Wow! That was quick turn-around. And also gives hope that anyone whose package hasn't been returned within a week or so has submitted a "complete" application.

Guess I should have been clearer. I had a feeling they would return my May 1st application it so submitted a new application. My May 1st application was returned to me on June 16th because there was no stamp on the photo.

I had also forgot to put in my NOA's and proof of residence papers and didn't want to take a chance so resubmitted everything with a letter stating what I had initially missed and it arrived May 8th.

Hi same here i forgot to submit my employment record/ t4 or NOA but when they returned my application they were only asking for school records of kids, so i did not bother to submit that. Only what they asked for
