FWIW, the book is available for free from a number of places... there are electronic versions available from CIC website, or you can go to your local Service Canada to pick up a hard-copy. The only use the shipment from CIC has is the AOR letter...

I see that! Was your case at all special or uniquely easy to process (or did you get "urgent" processing approved)?

What we do have is bureaucracy. The fact that it takes longer than about 2 months (including CanadaPost's delivery times) is ridiculous. There just simply isn't that much information to verify.

Yeah, not too worried. That said, there have been a few oaths for applicants since Jan 2014. Don't know the circumstances, but it looks like there's a chance of getting it in as little as about 6 months from when CIC received the application... since we're already past two months, it could be...

Funny how some of the people here are so antsy to find out the case status -- when it was only 2-3 months ago that they submitted and CIC says it's a 24-36 month process ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/cit-processing.asp )...

I had that in early July. It disappeared (and hasn't returned) but was replaced by Citizenship stuff now.

Yup... happened a lot with the PR phase, too. If people bothered to come back to say they got their passport request, they often didn't bother to share their landing experience.

I would actually bet that it is a timezone issue... but that's just me. Personally, the whole eCas thing is a bunch of baloney. The fact that the system doesn't appear to have changed in the last four years (when we were doing the PR app) says a great deal.

My bet is that it happened when someone resorted the sheet. Not everybody knows how to run a spreadsheet, and it's likely some data got confused.

Don't worry about eCas. It's such a archaic and flakey system that it's not worth stressing over. It doesn't really show you much info, and the info it does show is not necessarily correct (e.g. when they send Discover Canada). The ATIP notes might be interesting anyhow, and should provide...

As in, the received line is gone? Any chance they have decided your payment might not be valid?

Considering the change of process (for the supposed better/faster) as of July 1, I don't think we can take past performance as an indicator. That said, it looks like the most recent testees waited about 3 months from when their eCas changed to "In Process" until their test date. It's not clear...
