Me and my family are on eCAS now :D. I've also updated the shared spreadsheet. There were two lines in eCAS, one line with the acknowledgement of payment and applications "Received" and a second line with the "In Process" status, which is as follows:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 27, 2014.

2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 27, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3. We started processing your application on July 25, 2014.

I've also checked the eCAS for all my family members, just to make sure. Same status for all.

Before someone asks, I've only sent what was requested. As for employment records, I've only sent my employment offer letter, no T4's or anything else. I figure all government departments are connected and they ought to talk to each other, right? ;D

Now the long wait starts.... 8)

congrats!! very good news :)

Citizenship
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 26, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 26, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on July 24, 2014.

Citizenship
We received your payment, along with one or more citizenship applications. To find out how long it takes to process a routine application, please consult the Application Processing Times.

If they mail out the book on day of receipt, then mine was received on June 10 and I haven't got the book in mail yet. Anything to worry?

Nothing to worry about. They actually send the book on the day they begin processing, not the date application was received. This is what the CIC agent told me last week and sent me an electronic copy of the "Discover Canada" book: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/discover/index.asp

Prepare for the test: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/cit-test.asp

What do you guys think about how long will it take to receive a Citizenship Test date if it is a routine application?

Considering the change of process (for the supposed better/faster) as of July 1, I don't think we can take past performance as an indicator.

That said, it looks like the most recent testees waited about 3 months from when their eCas changed to "In Process" until their test date. It's not clear how long before that they received their letter of testing -- probably thirty days or so?

My ecas has just one line now, "in process". Anybody else? Does this mean anything?

may be they are working on it
