My ecas has just one line now, "in process". Anybody else? Does this mean anything?

As in, the received line is gone?

Any chance they have decided your payment might not be valid?

Hi
In other posts I read that disappearance of the received line means it's transfer to local office... Pls don't hold me to that but I am sure it has a signficance ....I couldn't predict he long to test date but from test to oath is around 3 months. Gdluck to all

Hi ALL,

I did call CIC regarding my ongoing issue of them not receiving my application which I sent on May 1st and received by CIC (Delivered to 47 Dorchester) on May 5th. They told me that they see my information NOW in the system

Ecas is STILL not available for me... though many of our friends who sent after May 5th can see their status online.

The agent informed me that there is nothing to worry, my Citizenship application is in the system ( with all the family details). She said I will receive the book sometime in August. I asked about Ecas but she said nothing to worry as regards receipt of the application.

This gives me lot of relief as I already applied for ATIPs/ getting ready for sending the second application this week.

Thanks for our Forum Members ( SenoritaBal, May 2014, Rayman_m) and others for giving me suggestions.

My Ecas may get active soon I hope... ( don't know why the delay....) But now the long wait starts....Getting ready for it.

Don't worry about eCas. It's such a archaic and flakey system that it's not worth stressing over. It doesn't really show you much info, and the info it does show is not necessarily correct (e.g. when they send Discover Canada).

The ATIP notes might be interesting anyhow, and should provide the verification you're after.

The received line in most cases means that your background checks have been completed and your file is in the process of being transferred to your local office for scheduling test and oath.
I quoted this from April 2014 applicants discussing the disappearance of received line

received May 7th, in process July 11th

May be they r working on it. when did they receive your application?

Thanks @May 2014. That will be awesome. :) Yes, goodluck to you as well. I'm sure yours would happen soon.

@doctorkb,
Yeah the received line is gone. I paid $400 and it's in process, so no reason to believe payment might not be valid. Also, the charge is on my credit card.

Hi everyone,

I've submitted my application on May 23rd and until date, there's nothing on the cic site that states my file is being processed however, when I just checked the spreadsheet where everyone enters their application details (at that time, I had just entered the date the application was received by cic), I've noticed the Ecas - In Process (IP) date has been updated (July 17th). I know it wasn't me who put the date!! Any idea how this could have happened? Is this date an estimate or something?
