they've been super slow to update the medical excemption conditions. Doesn't affect me as I did mine last month- but it seems to be slowing down processing it seems whilst IRCC wait on guidelines.

hard to give a decent estimate at the moment it could be anywhere from a month to a few months- depends how long eligibility and background checks take to be processed.

you don't need to provide one for your time in Canada, IRCC will get RCMP to do a check for you.

yeah, i had a round trip of 6 hours for the medical exam- $800 for the exams combined for myself and my wife. we were lucky that my work reimbursed me for them. It was easily the most stressful part of the process so far. It's an easy win to cut potentially 30 days out of waiting/processing...

it depends on the complexity of the case tbh, for some it's quick - for others it's slow.

IRCC have been erratic with timelines and have huge backlogs-that's why.
