looking at the NOC codes in the database- 2174 does seem to be more of a standard programmer job responsibilty, whereas 2171 does seem like more of a lead/analyst role. 2171 doesn't explicitly have responsibilites as doing the coding but more the system analyst side of things. The NOC codes...

There's an email for it being submitted, and the AOR email says that it has been "received"

probably - might be worth speaking to your companies HR dept, as they may have someone who is versed on immigration procedures.

I got AOR on 8th August, and got the biometric request the same day, and medical request the next day- all comms is through the lawyers my employer paid for though. Super surprised that you haven't had the medical request.

you'll need to yup, as I think when you're on a work permit and you lose your job you have 30 days to find new employment (and get a new work permit). That's really awful to hear that you got laid off.

What's the normal-ish timeline from AOR->Medical Request->PAL? I'm assuming it's probably a few months

the email response seems pretty straightforward- they have added it to your file. If they need anything more they will reach out to you.

Got my AOR today- I applied non-express on 24th January 2022 I'm in B.C btw.

seconding this, only give them exactly what they ask for in the PNP checklist. If they decide they need something else IRCC will ask for it.

you should apply for a work permit extension i believe- i don't think a PR application maintains your status.

once you've submitted it you won't be able to view it until you get AOR from IRCC
