    Because the economy needs immigrants ;). It would be very hard & politically complicated to make French compulsory. Hence free French lessons for new immigrants to help them, & extra points for those who DO have French at B2 level.

    Do you have a link to these "tableaux comparatifs"? If it's the ones I'm thinking of, they have been removed by Quebec because they are considered obsolete.

    Quebec will likely correct the code error when checking your degree documents. It's been noted by several people that the online evaluation tool sometimes gives false negatives.

    You must answer yes or no to the questions in section 9. I gave you the link to the France-Quebec ARM. If your degree/profession is not included in it, you answer "no" to that question.

    I *think* you'll find you need to be resident in Canada before you can apply for the Supervisa for your mother. You should ask in the family section of the board, the members there will be able to advise you.

    Don't panic!! The question you referred to concerns regulated professions. From the information you have given, you don't have a regulated profession , so it does not apply to you. That's why I said "no", I can see how my answer was confusing. It does NOT mean that your degree is not recognised.
