She arrived to Canada last year, I don't think she did any interview, Just the security check, Biometrics and medical exams then she received her visa probably a month after the medical exam but the situation is different now unfortunately.

My friend took two years to get his residency here in Canada and once he received it they started processing his wife's residency and it took her less than a year after that.
Students can still work on part time jobs like stores and other kind of jobs, And many students are doing online classes.
Most provinces in Canada are planning to open business and going back to normal life soon.
There are some exceptions which they released and considered them as essential travel.

Anyway there's nothing to do but wait and hope things move fast.
