I think it would be unwise to assume she would get a tourist visa. They tend to deny tourist visas of girlfriends/boyfriends fiances etc because they don't trust the person to intend to go back home after the visit.

Well the fastest processing seems to be 6 to 8 weeks from that point to receiving DM, with visa arriving maybe 1 or 2 weeks after. That is if they consider yours a simple straight forward case and they have no further concerns on your application. If more complicated it still may take them...

There are some really good posts and responses about possible rejections. Simply put, they are looking for couples who may be motivated only by acquiring the Canadian visa. So they are watching out for applications where the relationship may not be genuine, may be on shaky grounds, or anything...

Since this is such an important process for us. I got extra photos. You are there anyways getting photos, I suggest get couple extras for each. That way you make sure they won't ask later for more. Be extra thorough in the process to avoid unnecessary delays.

I STRONGLY suggest they made an error in the dates. I think the processing for sponsorship is pretty consistent in the 55 to 70 days range. It depends on the backlog at the time. Remember 1000's of applications so the queue builds and shrinks. Also it depends on how simple or complicated each...
