HELP ME WITH THIS PLEASE

Hi there,

I applied for PR for my spouse in August. In Jan, 2012 we got a reply to our email stating that we may be called for an interview but until now no interview date is given to us.

In between, we are planning to send some additional proofs of our relationship like emails, chats, some more marriage pics etc. Will it be helpful? If New Delhi visa receives all these additional proof soon, when can I expect some update from them. Has anybody done like this and got positive outcome.

I am very confused. Help me in this please.

Best to save your proofs until the interview and submit them then. Sending them now will not change the decision that's been made to conduct an interview, and the proofs could get lost in the interim. Take them with you and give them to the officer at the interview.

thanks for your reply. I heard in some cases, they have waived the interview and have given the visa. Are you sure that they will NOT change the decision.????

if they already decide for an interview they will not change it now....look at everything like a seqeunce of steps....they were checking ur documents for some step and they had extra concerns and so they decided the interview....they will not go back at that step to check again....make sure u know why they asked for an interview and have plenty of proofs handy....good luck!!

Thanks a lot for your reply. I agree with you. But one of my friend said that he applied for the GCM notes and got to know the concerns of the immigration officer. Then he sent all the proofs related to the IO concerns and he was waived of his interview and granted visa also. Thats why I am confused. I will be applying for my GCM notes soon and if I am able to address the concerns, then will they waive the interview for me too???? Just curious

ok but in ur friend's notes was it written "interview, date of the interview" or something like that? maybe they were not really concerns, just observations (the officers need to document everything)... yes do order the notes, they will help u clarify lots of things

usually if the interview is scheduled than that is it ... but maybe New Delhi works in different way....why not ask on their thread too and see what advice u get from the members going through the same office

In his GCM notes, it was written from what I remember is that "recommended for an interview" and no interview date was fixed. He was waiting for the interview date.

Your thoughts on this please...

Hmm really i don't know i never heard that before.....really ask the New Delhi thread....maybe others can help more....

i guess it's no harm to send....u don't want any regrets later, sometimes u need to take ur own decision and hope for the best but make sure u keep a copy of everything u send, in case u need to show it again later!! also make a cover letter with ur names, file number, what proofs u send and why; u need to realize that once arrived to the embassy it might take some time (weeks, months) for them to match it to ur file and then for someone to actually look at it (if they ever do : ) until that happens u might already have the interview date

Yes, I agree with you. As my interview date is not set yet, its no harm in sending the proofs, I guess.

u welcome, unfortunaley many of us here cannot b of more help and cannot know for sure what is going on...what we can do is guess, try our best and hope for the a positive fast end result

I might add, it doesn't hurt to send what you think they are looking for. But you should keep copies of everything and be prepared to bring them all to an interview if required. Good luck.

hi i think you need to weit like 2 month to get the call saying the date for your interview and evry thing this is my case so all what you need now is save all the prove you have to take with you to the interview and prepare for it good look at your application if you have copy to see what you say...
