Hi,

Just a question about the change of address in e-cas. Some people say their address appear/disappear/reappear.
What does it mean?
I don't see any address appearing when I log in to the system.
Any thoughts?

anyone??

Thanks...

My husbands address is not in there either. There was my address when I log in under the sponsor uci, but never has been an address under the applicant side. I dont think ecas is too reliable I wouldnt worry about it.

To all those who have been asked for an interview. Did the visa office return your relationship docs such as wedding photos and cards ?? Singapore VO recently returned our wedding pics and card and I dont know if this is a good sign or will be asked for an interview :( Please somebody shed some light. Waiting everyday is getting very difficult :(

I noticed from the sticky at the beginning of this thread that children with medical conditions are exempt from the drain on resources thing. My husband is a Canadian Citizen sponsoring me (wife, 18 years) and our 5 children to return to BC. I had a panic that our second son (10) may be refused entry, as he has been diagnosed with low grade Aspergers. Can someone give me clarification that this is not the case! :o

Was your husband a Canadian citizen when your children were born? If that is the case, they may already be citizens. If not, he can certainly sponsor you all without any worries that any of you will be refused because of excessive demand. Spouses and minor children are exempt from that clause.

You can see that here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf

Page 17, section 5.20:

5.20.
Exceptions to medical inadmissibility
A38(2)(a) states that spouses, common-law partners and dependent children who are members of
the family class are not inadmissible even if they have a medical condition that will result in
excessive demand to health or social services.

Thanks Leon. Thats a relief! :D Yes, my husband was born and grew up in BC, came to UK alone when he was 19, so the children are proper half Canadian! ;)

Then he does not have to sponsor them. He only has to register them for citizenship if he didn't already. You can find the application forms here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof-how.asp It takes forever to get the citizenship cards but if you have definite plans to move, say flight tickets and you may need the cards to enroll them in schools etc., you can ask for expedited processing. On your application forms, you will include the children in the additional family information form but leave them out of the IMM0008 form because they are already citizens and not a part of your application.

Hey guys..
I need your help.. I am a canadian citizen and i have applied for spousal visa.. for my husband (residing in India)
i have cleared all my sponsor's requirements and got letter from embassy too.
My file was sent to New delhii immigration office.. on 29th Dec,2012.. and my husband was being asked to sent passport on Feb 21st, 2012 and he sent his passport on 23rd feb, 2012..

I will really appreciate your help/answers!

I agreem not really an issue if nothing showing. However, for those where the address changes from the applicants address to the sponsors address. I think that means they are physically changing the address of applicant to the address of their sponsor in the database. That is a very good indication that your processing is almost over and you are accepted.

hi richa congratulations !!
it looks like your husband is very close to his PR but no one cant tell exactly how long it will take. it depends on his travel history and work history. in some cases background check can take more than a year but if your case is straight forward no travel history and no military job, you will receive your visa within one month.
if you dont mind please share your husband's travel history and other complications in your case if any..
best of luck to both of you :)

hello all

I got a QUESTION . I 've got the RPRF fee paid online by visa. I just wanna make sure I'm doing it right.
I'm going to send a printed recipt of payment , filled with my wife's info( applicant) , to the CPC mississauga ,

and should I Email or fax a copy to Ankara embassy ?
our file is in process since march 8, 2012 at ankara. my agent didn't ask me to pay the RPRF fee upfront at the time , I paid it directly so the application doesn't get stuck for another couple of months.

cheers

Definitely send fax (not email, they do not open emails with att. ( so I was told)) to your VO, and keep copy for yourself. You do not have to wait for them to ask if you do that is additional 6-8 weeks processing time. And as for Mississauga, fax them too, and then mail it. Better safe than sorry. I did the same thing .
