Supplying the 8 Photos

My husband has to take 8 photos of himself so we can submit it with our application.. now when he goes to the doctors office, they want 3 photos of him they said.... do we take this "3" from the 8 we took? or is this 2 separate photo sessions that we have to do? (8 for our application) and then (3 for the docs) ?

or do we really need to print 11 identical photos altogether and send 8 to immigration and 3 to the docs?

8 photos for the application, separate and apart from however many he needs for the medical. In this case, if the doc says 3, then yes, it is 11 photos total.

ok so if we take the 8 photos one day and the 3 photos another day, this is not a problem? (bc they wont be identical) or do they want the 11 to be all the identical photos done in the same time?

Not a problem if the two sets are done on different days. Each set just needs to be identical within that set. So you can't take 4 one day and 4 the next in order to get the 8, in other words. Those 8 have to be done from the same printing.

Please double check your Regional Guide for the correct number of photos you need. You need one set of 7-9 for the application, you need another set of 3-5 for the medical, as indicated on the Appendix C of the regional guide. The Regional Guide will tell you how many.

Since this is such an important process for us. I got extra photos. You are there anyways getting photos, I suggest get couple extras for each. That way you make sure they won't ask later for more. Be extra thorough in the process to avoid unnecessary delays.

As Charlie said, just as long as each set are from the same negative. Charlie saved me a lot of hassle because when we were doing our app, my husband had a couple of photos left from the medical and he was going to just add them to make up the 8 we needed for the actual app. Checked with ppl in my thread, and Charlie confirmed no it has to be from same negative, so great advice.
