    medical test

Not sure if you know this, but you cannot just go to any doctor, you need to check the CIC website to find a designated doctor, who is authorised to do the examinations. You will find a list of doctors in the CIC site. You can do it in Berlin or Canada, and it is the same test and paperwork...

    Evidence - combined or separate?

No, once is enough, even though they do replicate questions. The whole application is sent after the sponsorship part is cleared, so both offices see everything anyway.

    Sending the application.

I understand that, and hope it all goes well for you, I just wanted to show that it isn't always necessary to send huge applications off if the case is pretty simple. Just showing the other side of the coin. :)

    Sending the application.

Ours went in a normal large brown envelope. We didn't go overboard on evidence, just gave enough for a solid case. I think ours went through quick because the IO's didn't have to spend months reading through it.

    need advise

Photos of the actual marriage are enough, not everyone has a church wedding or a big wedding, my wife and I had our wedding in my mother-in-laws house with five guests.

How many pictures is TOO many ???

My wife and I met four times before applying (one of which included the wedding), these holidays were over a five year period, we just included a few pictures from each holiday, usually ones which also showed where we were on holiday and thus placed us in specific locations. We also sent a...

organising forms - staple pages together?

I stapled all my forms, not excessively and it went through with no problems. Then again, I didn't overload with supporting evidence either.

Good to follow list - EXPERT advice please

Yes, I was surprised how painless this whole process was, I was worried as the removal firm didn't list stuff properly when they packed it, so after they had gone I had to try and remember what I was taking and wrote it down on the B4 form. It all went through well though with barely five...

    one way ticket

Not really, they were none transferable tickets and the return would have been ten hours after I landed. :)

    one way ticket

I ended up buying a return ticket simply because it was cheaper than buying a single and offered better connections. How messed up is that? ???

Information please aout filing out the personal history part

As long as the visit is less than six months, then it isn't that important to give detailed accounts (although surely you would be able to give approx dates from your passport?). If you were in any country over six months, then you woud have to supply a police check from each country that you...

My wife overpaid when we sent ours in and they very quickly issued a refund for the extra amount.

Hi BostonGirl, here is the info about medical exams http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp From what I can see, there are two DMPs in your state...

    Returned Photos in the Post

We never received anything back, but all the corroborating evidence was photocopies, the photos were proper printed pictures though, but we have them anyway, so we weren't that bothered. I wonder what they do with all this stuff, is it kept in a file somewhere or do they recycle it?

Is it a new rule ?

Only the person who is being sponsored needs to actually go through the border.

    PR Card

It isnt just a card though and a lot of work seems to go into making them, with the photographic images etc, there are a lot of anti fraud measures etc.

    Completing forms - handwritten/ typed?

I think they mean if you write it to write in black ink (if printed it will be black anyway), black is preferable to other colours as it photocopies best.

    Completing forms - handwritten/ typed?

The forms are fillable in Adobe Reader, so they have been made to fill out and print. Either is ok as long as they are readable, but I would go for typed, if possible, as it just looks nicer. That is what I did.
