Canada Sponsorship Based Open Work Permit

I'm really curious by these scammers' modus operandi. Will they really fulfill all 10 steps with fake documents and emails, stringing their victim along? Or will they just take the money at an earlier point and go no contact?

Missing Characters in Full Name on Stamped Visa for Canada

This is all normal because there are character limits for the visas and PR cards. IRCC's limit is 35 characters for the full name, including spaces (I assume because of the machine-readable format restrictions). You're not going to get them to reprint your visa with your full name...

No ! You dont need PRTD. you can travel with your work permit

Do correct me if I'm wrong--could OP have chosen to skip the PIKs and gone to the inspection queue with everyone else for their own useless exercise? If my own assumption/expectation is correct, the CBSA officer would still find their UCI in the work permit, confirmed they were a PR, and let...

No ! You dont need PRTD. you can travel with your work permit

That's why I suspect the OP is being selective about the details they're choosing to share. Also if they had a PR card they could have used the kiosk. For all I know, they had the kiosk receipt and "waved" their work permit together with the receipt to the CBSA officer at Pearson. :)

No ! You dont need PRTD. you can travel with your work permit

You're being clever, but you're only telling us what happened at the Toronto airport. What happened before that? If you showed the airline check-in counter your work permit, I'll be impressed by your story.

Lost Passport but found it later, do I need to notify IRCC about my replacement?

Doesn’t hurt to send the email but there’s no need. You can simply show it when they request to see the other passports.

PR card app received by CIC but no confirmation (email & tracker)

I don't think they send AORs for PR card renewals any more, or if they do...that's when they actually start processing. So expect application processing and completed to be done in the same day or within the same few days on the tracker. You also might have better luck asking in the PR card...

Didn't ask to cut PR card during citizenship ceremony

It happens. She can choose to still cut it if she wants, but your mom can enjoy a little souvenir with her PR card intact. That PR card will no longer be valid anyway. My officer wasn't even watching while I was cutting mine lol.

Do I have to mention my uncle in PR application?

This is fine in case you don't want to reach out, since you were already able to qualify for FSW without the points from a relative in Canada.

    Citizenship application passport pages

Since the passport validity falls in your eligibility period you MUST include ALL pages. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-0002-application-canadian-citizenship-under-subsection-5-1-adults-18-years-older.html#

    I’ll call it now, scam.

    Flagpol on implied status

What passport does your spouse hold? If she comes from a visa-requiring country (I assume since you mentioned TRVs), she can’t apply for a work permit at the POE. I believe I remember reading a case here where they held Indian passports and tried to do this and they were denied the work permit...

Passport expiring before end of phD

This detail has zero impact on your study permit chances. You are already approved in principle. You will likely get a TRV with the same expiry date as your passport, and whenever you get a new passport, you can apply for a new TRV which should be easy given your student status.

    Student Visa

I checked OP's post history and wonder if it's advisable for her to get a lawyer. Also seems like they could still apply for restoration for the kids.

Entering Canada on Visit Visa and not COPR

"We don't plan to do our PR landings yet." is not a hard sentence to say. And not as unusual a situation as you think it is.

Why do you need a visa? Which one do I choose?

You have to answer visit more than 6 months, current country of residence is Canada, and indicate your current status is worker

RECEIVED ITA BUT ONE FAMILY MEMBER IS ILLEGAL IN CANADA

Realistically speaking, no, especially if he does not have a job or he quit his studies. Technically, there is the H&C path that has to be done through a lawyer but I'm going to take a stab and say that it is unlikely this will be granted.
