A quick question:
If the sponsor has visited the PA during the process should the sponsor inform cic about the visit? Or wait for them to inquire?

I don't think you need to mention it. If it was something extended like over two months there might be an issue? I'm not sure. But they certainly would expect you to keep in contact and have visits so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Nah just a few days visit... so i guess wait for them to ask if necessary

Hey Guys,

Just to confirm, we received COPR via our GC Key today - it is basically a letter outlining that we have been officially approved.

We are just waiting to receive the COPR documents in the post, I am sure they will be with us in the next couple of days.

So I submitted an enquiry, got a response shockingly. I basically was confirming there was no more need for documentation and making sure I hadn't missed an email for PPR. However, they said I'm getting a letter?

"We verified the information you provided and can confirm that a decision has been made on the application. You will find more information related to your enquiry in the letter that was mailed to you on April 3, 2019, at the following address:"

Then they list my address here in the US. Makes me nervous but they would have said something before making a negative decision so I just gotta calm myself, lol. Just never heard of PPR being mailed physically.

If they were going to reject your application, they would have sent you a Letter of Procedural Fairness to list the reasons why they were going to reject it and also for you to supply more documentation to make your case. They would not reject it right away without giving you chance (speaking from experience!) So I think this letter being sent (possibly PPR through the GCKEY or CoPR) to you means good things!

That's a good question, we don't know how to link or check what the sponsor application says, I (PA) linked my application and I also use the online tool link to check status frequently.

IT will be a great help if you can share how to check sponsors application status

I just open cic website. And fill the uci which is sent in email they sent referring ur application no.

Thanks I wasn't aware that even my husband can check status from his end, we Googled it just now and found how he can check the sponsorship status.

Yes, it is same we are sailing in the same boat. IT says decision made on his (sponsor's) online tool and on mine it still reads in process.

Keep us updated if you see any progress. Hope we all will get good news very soon.

I just got some weird update. They are asking for medical again. Like seriously. I already sent emedical in last week of jan.

I have some shocking update in my permanent residence application status. Mu sponsorship application shows decision made on 2nd april and same day my file moved to NDVO. And i got medical request again under PR app status. I already got medical requests on 17 jan and done my medicals on 29 jan. and status changed to received my medicals on 6 feb. i have screenshots of that page. But again on yesterday they asked for medical. I dnt know. What they r upto.
Does sbdu got medical requests two times.
Is it some kind of mistake by them or my earlier medical got failed. ??

Ask your rep to check it for you and if the medical status is passed in GCkey you dont have to worry. but i recommend you or your rep to give a call to cic and confirm it too .

I just called them. They said they had already sent email to cic. They r waiting for their response. I dnt know whts going on with my file

PA and sponsor each have their own UCI. The one on AOR1 is the sponsor's UCI.

The UCI in the Medical request is of the PA ( Principal applicant's ) . The one you see in the AOR is of the sponsors.

For all November applicants who still have not heard anything after medicals passed. I called CIC this morning to see what is going on and was told that my husband's file is still in Sydney and that a file can be completed in Canada and will only be transferred to VO to finish the process (doubtful) but just wanted to pass on what I was told so basically we are still in limbo. I do wish you all the best in your journey and hopefully our loved ones will be with us soon.

Any November 2018 applicants still waiting for file transfer or any update at all since doing medical?

I am... FRile transferred to NDVO and medical sumitted on 27thFEB... no updates thereafter...
