Yes, got my AOR on June 12, 22 days after application. But no biometrics or medical request yet

Hi, I wanted to ask about linking the app online. We got the AOR on June 21 (email to Sponsor), and we were advised to link it online. Since then, we have been trying that, but it is still not working. Is there a special portal to do this, or how do I check the application status?

Also, do you have any idea about the current processing time for the new Open Work Permit after receiving the AOR?

Thanks!

If you also want to link your application to GCKey, you can do that

I have no idea about the OWP timeline.

Follow these videos (Check all of them, they are quite informative)

You mean from common law to married? That's the only "change in marital status" I can think of after you send in your sponsorship application.

As if that's the case, it's better to send in the update via web form. It's a stronger application and additional proof.
I am a pr holder but when i landed in canada, i was single.

Now that am married and i would like to apply for spousal inland sponsorship. prior to applying should i change my marital status to married from single by informing to ircc.

If you were landed as single and got married after, there is nothing to update IRCC with.
You can just apply to sponsor your spouse. You need to be living in Canada to sponsor.

Hello everyone ,
We applied for Spousal sponsorship inland on may 30th 2024,still waiting for AOR.I called IRCC today the agent said we had sent AOR on june 24th 2024 to the sponsor's email she also said the sponsor's eligibility is going on right now.I checked with my immigration representative who did our application they said they didn't receive anything. The agent also gave me an application number.I recalled IRCC again another agent said we haven't sent the AOR.It must be a misinformation and please wait for it.

Hello,
Try linking your application to GC Key.
Enter UCI and Passport details, in the section "Number of Applicants" enter 2 instead of 1.
If ur application number is generated, you should be able to link your application.

It's been 23 days since last I heard from IRCC - the AOR. No BIL yet and I'm getting anxious.
Someone in other thread, yesterday quoted timeline as per below-
"
Submitted: April 5, 2024
AOR: April 28, 2024
Pre-arrival letter: June 26, 2024
AIP: July 3, 2024
SA (Sponsor Approval): July 3, 2024

Biometrics not required on my application since its still valid until 2029. Waiting for my medical request. "

So I think after AOR almost 2 months they are taking to start updating our applications. So patience is the key.

@duke_hp
Could you please help us understand a few things here? No issues if you don't have answers to any of these questions.
  1. The person you quoted the timeline for, do you know if their spouse Biometrics was for a temporary visa and now the same is being used for their PR? Asking because most of us thought and read in instructions that Biometrics are redone for PR even if they were done for another temporary visa and are valid.
  2. I am guessing AIP is application in progress. If so is this Principal Applicant's application that becomes AIP after sponsor's application is approved that they are eligible to sponsor?
  3. I thought pre-arrival letter usually comes along with Medical but this person is still waiting for medical request which is odd to me (this one isn't a question, just an observation)
  4. Did this person apply for OWP? What is the timeline for that?
