Regina takes "cold" to a whole new level....lol. You are brave. He probably is right as long as your coat and boots meet each other. There are silk/nylon tights (like the sock liners) that are great and can be worn under lined jeans. Again the idea is to keep dry and take the moisture away from your skin.
The only other colder place than Regina might be Saskatoon or the corner of Portage and Main in Winnipeg :o

Haha.. You are mistaken ;D He's from Regina, but we are living in BC Vancouver now.. He moved here more than 10 years ago and has refused to go back even for a visit.. Haha! I would probably freeze to death there. I wear those nylon tights now everyday even in Vancouver.. Different thickness to match different pants.. Wrap myself up like a dumpling... Hehe! I also need a torque everywhere I go.. Whenever my head gets too cold or I'm without one, I get bad headaches which never go away. He just bought a new CRV too for winter, which has a nice "ass-warmer" :P :P I love it!

Hahaha, the first time I tried heated seats, it felt....weird ::)

I must be the most under dressed person in Canada. I wore a hoodie and dollar store gloves in -16 (-23 windchill) this morning. Not cold at all. Being a fatty has advantages!

Oh man I feel downtown Calgary is always freezing around 7:30ish .. I am wearing 2 socks, a pajamas under my jeans, my boots with gloves .. still cold feet

OMG I want that weather from Texas in the Canadians summers. I asked my hubby to take me to the beach next year (Western coast) but I've found that the summers are not as hot as I like to enjoy the ocean. So we are going to Dominican Republic instead (our piggy bank will be ready to be porked in a few months)

I think what I hate most is still how early the skies get dark in winter time... By 4 or 430pm, the skies are sooo dark already, and alot of shops close so early. It makes me feel depressed. :(

The good news is that on December 21 the days start getting longer again :D
Before you know, it will be spring and summer with the longer days back.

Not uh, the world ends Dec 21st.........

Summer in Canada so far has been disappointing. From what I understand, we got an outstanding summer this year in Calgary and it was awful..... Had to wear a hoodie in August. Wth?

This summer for a couple days everyone up here in Elliot Lake went around going "Boy it's a scorcher!" while I stood there thinking, "Really?!" We turned the A/C on for a couple hours one day, debated and decided, "Nah, don't need it!" On the morning we left for a trip down to Toronto, I was doing jumping jacks to stay warm while waiting for the bus as my breath frosted on the air. In August. :-X
