yeah.. you are right JB.
I was checking the International Students Section for Riyadh Student Visa Applicants.
I found very very few. Most of them have not updated their time lines. Those who have updated it seems that the Embassy has always taken more then the Ava rage time mentioned in their website. Some of them have claimed that for student visa they received sms from the Embassy stating that "your application will be finalized by xxxxxx date" and + - 1 week of the date specified in the sms they got their visas.
But one thing is sure. there are very very less applicants both for Student / TWP in CIC Riyadh embassy as compared to other Embassies.

greetings...just registered here..im so happy i found ds forum..obviously i need help po, so much help...im presently working as a nurse in jubail..according to my cousin in canada my LMO have just had a positive response for the live in care giver program and i have until may 14 to pass my requirements..the thing is il be having my annual vacation on april 1-mid june....so im planning to pass my requirements by feb or march or which is better?.....//
Regarding d req'ts i have a lot of questions please help me:.
1. evidence of status in ksa-is it okay if i will just send plain (not certified)copies of my iqama and d
visa part of my passport?
2. birth-marriage certificates,college diplomas or degrees=can i submit plain photocopies along with
the originals or i need to give certified true copies or can i pass the ones with the red ribbon which i
used in applying in ksa before?
3. employment/reference letters=our hospital is not issuing employment letter, can a copy of
employment contract be enough? can i pass reference letters from a head nurse/doctors or they
need to be from the admin/personnel?
4.police clearance=i have a police clearance which i took around may 2012 through phil embassy, is
this still valid or i need get a new one? (im aware dat i need to wait for the request of canadian
embassy but since my friends got theirs last yir, i also took mine...
5. nbi clearance=am i required to pass this or the saudi police clearance is enough.

Welcome to this forum. Greetings to you.

1) KSA Evidence - Valid Iqama Copy and Visa copy in the passport is good enough. Try to get a color copies of the same and include it in the package

2) Birth / marriage certificate - Try to get color copies of all the certificates. If not mentioned in the Check list for care giver, do not send the originals as some times the Embassy don't return the same.

3) For Employment certificate if is advised to get the Employment certificate and do the chamber of commerce attestation. Try your best to get it. If not the a copy of the contract and a explanation letter will do.

4) I think the police clearance letter is only valid for 6 months. Anyways if any document is missing the Embassy will mail you and ask for the same.

5) NBI clearance.. I am not sure, some body in this forum will definitely ans this ques.

I think you are good to go by February because most of the members who submit their application got their medical schedule a few days after AOR. Though just anticipate situations such as interviews along the process.

@ Rajaryan,

With your PM I went back to CIC-Riyadh website to check if they are processing other country beside Saudi Arabia only to find out that there will be changes by 2013 - They will implement BIOMETRIC IDENTITY SCREENING.

Good thing the effectivity will start on September 2013

Yeah it seems like the Embassy is getting around 1000 applications every day. Now I am really worried. If they dont finalize within this week or next week, then I wont have any option but to request back my passports for iqama renewal. Which will be 1 month long affair in my office. so It means more delays My joining date was 1st Oct.
Also the situation of BG is much more critical than me.

I also heard of it.. I think Riyadh Embassy is also processing for Bahrain Oman and Yamen as per thier website.

I happened to check in the below website. If you open the link and check the Bilateral Relations of Bahrain , Yemen and Oman. Its mentioned that these countries are taken care by CIC Riyadh Embassy.

It contradicts what they mention nationalities of those countries to processed in Abu Dhabi

I think CIC Riyadh Processes Visit, TWP, Student visa, for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen.
Abu Dabhi Embassy takes care for PR application for the complete Gulf including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain Oman Yemen.
Also Abu Dabhi Embassy Processes Visit, TWP, Student visa, for Qatar, Kuwait, UAE etc.

@Rajaryan, IMO the volume of applications in CIC Riyadh will not matter even if it process other countries as long as there was no dramatic increase in the number of applications. What I'm saying is that if CIC Riyadh was processing other countries for a long time now, there will be no change in volume thus the average processing time should be same. I still pin my hope that within the next 2 weeks we will get our visas.
