hello

i am planning to apply TRV for my wife from Canada.. i have question here..

Do i need to create new cic account for my wife or can i use my personal cic account ?

Hi All,

I recently received a Passport request for my wife's TRV. We are waiting on her PR passport request too. In the meanwhile, I want to invite her here on a TRV.

1. Has anyone who's in a similar situation got their wives here with a one-way ticket?
2. How long can a person stay in Canada for in a TRV? (I want to use the maximum days, if I were to get a two-way ticket)
3. Is she allowed to bring her jewelries, money, etc to Canada, on a TRV?

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to share a small good news with you guys.
My wifes TRV got approved in the second attempt.

Applied on 20 October
Approved on 1st November
First attempt was rejected based on Ties in Country of residence, Personal Assets and Travel History.

I addressed this with the below
Bought a new car in her name in India
Took a car loan in her name
Showed gold evaluation certificates
Travel history – wrote an affidavit that she will return back.
I hope this helps some of the us who had TRV rejections.

Thanks

Update on TRV

Passport Back with 10 year Multiple Entry.
Full timeline as below
Applied on 20-Oct-2016
Approved on 31-Oct-2016
Passport submitted on 1-November-2016
Passport collected on 4-Nov-2016.

Thank you all!!

Hello Everyone,

I applied for my wife TRV and I am a recent Canadian citizen. I wanted to know if PR and Ciitzens treated differently when they ask for TRV for their wives.

2) Also if for some reason the visa is rejected can I appeal it in Canada ?

THanks

Please see my answers below :
1. Yes, PRs and Citizens have to go through Spousal PR, whereas Work Permit holders will be issued faster.
BTW, if your Spousal PR is approved, you will get TRV easily. It all depends on how you showcased your case.

2. Canada Visitor visa has no discretion anywhere.

will they not make any issue at the airport that having single ticket means you will not return back

hi, i am new here...can you tell me plz when did you receive the sponsorship approval letter from CIC ? thanks

I don't have much accumulated funds in my current a/c , around 3 lacs to be specific, Can I take support from my parents for the rest of money for Visitor Visa? A letter of support from my family member will work and the bank statement ?
