I applied visitor visa for my spouse after receiving AOR2 (spouse sponsorship) at New Delhi. Submitted online application on April 8,2016 , received a message to send more documents(Marriage and post marriage pictures) . After uploading them in about 2 hours , I got a message to submit your passport . So my spouse submitted her passport today at VFS , delhi . Lets see when she gets it back. Will keep posted. Thanks.

Hi Adiraj123, could you please give more details about your application. Which documents did you send in the application?

There are many : My wife and my 3 months bank statements
3-6 months salary slips
My wife's job letter with approved vacation request to visit Canada
Return flight tickets
Her PF statement
Her Fixed deposit statement
Highest education degree certificate
Police clearance
Medical (same as submitted under spouse sponsorship application)
Invitation letter
Purpose of visit letter
Some communication screenshots
Marriage certificate
Marriage and post marriage pictures.

I put all these documents in a PDF (mine usually had about 50 pages in each pdf) , and did put a index as the front page on each pdf , explaining what is on what page ,which makes it easier for the officer to go through and understand what is where. for example My bank statements(Oct-April 2016) : Page 1-6 . I hope you get the idea.

Thanks Adiraj23.. i have one question.. could you please tell me if the approved vacation request from your wife's job was approved by HR or was it just a letter stating the time period she will be on vacation?

It was from HR , stating that her vacation is approved from this date to that date , and that she is expected to join on this date and she is going on vacation to Canada . It was addressed to the Canadian High Commission.

Hi Adiraj123,

Thanks for sharing your experience. Hope your spouse gets TRV soon.
You mentioned that you applied online. Is it possible to upload so many documents? I do understand that your merged a lot of those into one. But what about photos? Did you merged those as well? Is there a size limit?
Also, is this the first time your spouse applied for TRV?

Yes , for documents it was fine ,but for pictures I had to do a lot of size reduction and then merge them and create a pdf , so from a 2MB picture to just about 100-200KB , that's how I uploaded about 40 pictures .So yes at the end it was not very high quality pictures but they get the idea. The size limit is 4MB. Yes , it is the first time my spouse applied for TRV .

Thanks for the information Adiraj123.. much appreciated!
