Can anyone share the timeline of applying "visitor extend stay in Canada"?

We applied that at No.17, so far, no update news from CIC.
However, the visitor visa is going to expire in 2 weeks.

How do we deal with that if we still can't receive the decision from CIC by the VISA expire date?

The person will have Implied Status allowing them to legally stay in Canada after their current status expires and until CIC makes a decision on the extension app.

Well, I received a new message in myCIC today, saying it is approved, and they will MAIL it to the address I provided with the application (so, regular mail), and I think it will take a while for me to receive it. It's weird for me to apply online, and then receive the approval by post, but I have learned to expect anything I've seen on the forum that everyone receives it by post.

It didn't say how many months, but I assume they approve it for the period you asked for in your forms - I asked for about 10 months).

In addition, if you didn't do upfront medical, you will have 30 days to do one, they provide you with the forms.

In the IMM5708 I stated: purpose of visit - visiting my husband. I also in Background information, question 2 stated that I have a TRV, I have visited Canada before and left on time, and that we applied for a PR. They did not ask for any additional explanations.
