Unfortunately Greek restaurants in Canada although they make a very big effort to offer tasty and great food, they are not too updated into the modern Greek cooking because of the distance. Restaurants in Germany of course they have different type of dishes because of their proximity to Greece. You can say that any kind of ethnic food in North America tends to be Americanized

Does it get green at summer time in Calgary? I understand that Alberta is a semi arid land. Please tell me there's green and lots of it?
I also thought that Albert gets a fair share of blue skies. Doesn't it?

Calgary has alot of green...i know it takes longer to bloom in the spring but lots of parks trees its really nice in the spring summer...just that the winters last half the year and in calgary you still have daylight till 10:30-11:00 at night for at least 3-4 months. I love it. Unlike serbia 8 pm summer time and its pitch black hahahaja

So true i will actually miss using them when she comes lol my wife keeps telling me to lose weight and gets on my case so i send the one of the guy eating a hamburger and fries lol they can get you oit of any situation hahaha

Hahahahaha pa da she keeps saying work lots you will need money lol. Shopping will have to be my medicine for her for awhile. All of you know in Serbia you want to buy clothes, makeup, shoes you will spend 200 euro and you maybe make 300-400 a month. So i tell her all the sales they have her she gets excited i cant wait to spoil her. She deserves to relax and take it easy for some time. I know she will want to work and contribute but until she learns the language it will be hard to find anything.

Well, if you live in a bigger city, like Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Nis, you can even sometimes buy some clothes or shoes on sale. In smaller one, don't count on that for sure! :-X Well, you need language for everything, but I think she will not have problem to learn it, because everybody speaks English.

I would like to send them an email to ask if my decision is positive or negative. This "waiting for the letter" game drives me nuts. Haven't slept in two night now.
But there is still nothing I can do. Wrote with a guy (also common-law) with the same situation, same timeline, additional documents at the same time, decision made at the same time - his was negative.

V, come on..I thought you're a brave woman. Dont give up. You know as well as me that DM is positive. If you would've had issues they would've called you for an interview long ago...

Calgary has the most sunny days of any city in canada
Vancouver and Maritimes have rain, ontario and quebec smog pollution i dont have to tell you about that

Calgary in the last few years have had more wind and rain but its still the best for me only if winters werent long

It gets green in the end of May until the end of September/beginning of October.

Usually we have lots of blue sky here (over 300 days of sunshine) but in the last few days it was kind of depressing. A lot of clouds and wind and some rain. Hope it will change soon. I can't stand the colors brown and white anymore

My wife is in Nis but even the sales are short and not frequent. I go to tommy hilfiger 2 big bags of clothes and pay 200-300 dollars after all discounts. One tommy t-shirt in serbia is 100 euro. So everytime i go i buy friends and family tommy clothes hahaha

Hey, the same here! My husband bought Tommy t-shirts for everyone here, when he was coming, because they were about 10$ on a sale. An there is Tommy H. shop in Belgrade, the same one costs 8000 dinars, jeans are about 26000, bags more than 40000! The same situation is for Guess, Esprit, Hugo Boss...
