Wow, y is ontario so damn expensive
Grrrr
Dont despair! There were times when Ontario had it good. I left in 1990 to return to Greece. from 1987 to 1990 I had a 243 sq meters house that I was paying 900 per month for mortgage payments. Plus 100 more for home insurance and land taxes.
At that time i was bringing home 4000 per month and my wife was taking in another 2000. Before i bought the house I was renting a 2 bedroom huge apartment on Midland and Eglinton in Scarborough utilities included for only 270$ per month..Not bad eh?
A litre of gasoline costed then, aprox 34 cents, so an average fill in one of my three cars costed me no more than 20$. Is it getting better?
A shopping cart full of groceries would not total more than 100$ I am talking about a filthy top off a shopping cart.
A multi usage transit ticket in the TTC was merely a dollar. A cinema ticket was 8$, a pack of 25 Craven A's cigarettes ( yes I used to smoke) was bought from the corner store for $1,30 hahaha no joking! A six pack of Molson Export I cant remember because I am not a beer drinker hehehe
And the best for ladies and men who love shopping clothes. There were more Sears,Bays, Eatons than Bargain stores...If I remember correctly Bargain Harold's was the first and only bargain type store in Ontario..
