Well its kind of an absurd price. Because i just sent an 20kg 4u Rack server (very large Computer). With DHL for 260$ with insurance. And it got to Amsterdam in 4 days. And also a 0.7 kg iptv receiver same size as a rogers box cost me 24 euros from hungary to canada. Got mailed out on thursday and on tuesday afternoon it arrived.

In 13 years since i have been living here i learned never to use Canada Post. And if you go to an authorized retailer of fedex or dhl or ups it wil be a lot cheaper even to use these companies don't go to canada post.

Recently sent my cousin vitamin supplements 6 small bottles. Ups wanted $175 for 3 day delivery, canada post was way cheaper for 10 day delivery. Might depend to and from each city.

Good Luck to All

Congratulations! I'm happy to see that Vienna is still working hard :)

Congrats gutto786. It's great to hear such good news ;)

About the post and the cost:

I have been sending and receiving stuff from Europe, canada and the US. What I've understood is that it's really cheap to send stuff from Germany with dhl to any where since it's been bought by the German post although for smaller packages like the documents I've been sending to to Canada, Vienna and Warsaw (I have another immigration case in Warsaw)the best option is the German post. For instance, last month I had to send a set of docs to Warsaw the package was almost one kilo. Had I wanted to use DHL it would have been 9 Euros but I used the German post (but registered mail that give you insurance and an international tracking number) and it cost me 4.50.

For some reason it's really expensive to send packages from north America to Europe. I sent 31.5 Kilo for 89Euros to Canada with DHL and home pick up and delivery which arrived 6 days after but my husband sent 3 pieces of paper which arrived in 5 days and payed 50 CAD. Or my mom who payed overall 74 USD to sent 4 kilos of stuff from the US. OH OH OH by the way, before when my mom was sending us stuff it was weird because we couldn't track it passed the US and the status would say "the package has left the US". Later on we were told that in order to be able to track the package worldwide she has to pay yet another extra 14$ to get a second tracking number.

TENSION TENSION TENSION... the more you think the higher is the probability that you will trap into tension... Leave your PR to VIENNA it is their tension not yours... they will give you soon dear...

be free from the FALSE WORLD OF TENSION... rest it is always ur CALL

I know, right? The German Post is so cheap :D
But hey, good news: "International shipment has arrived in a foreign country" My package is at least in a different country than Canada. It's about time ;)

I'm gonna miss things like this when I leave Germany ;) I am really happy to hear that your package is out of Canada, which probably means it's in Europe some where. hopefully before the end of this week it'll arrive in the safe hands of your visa officer ;)
