Thank you all for best wishes! I couldn't believe that this is over.
I am very happy that I found this forum. It helped me a lot during the process, both with very useful information and emotional support... It's easier when you see that you are not alone in all of this.

Ljiljana, I don't have to go to Vienna since Croatia is a visa exempt country. However, my problem is that I just returned to Canada from Croatia last Wednesday. And now I have to go back to Croatia. I called CIC to ask them if my parents can send me COPR by mail and I do the landing in Vancouver airport. But they told me that those legal documents should not under any circumstances be sent by mail because they can be ceases at the port of entry. My options were either to go to Croatia, and return with COPR, or to contact Vienna, make an update for my address (give them the one in Canada) and then have my parents sent the COPR back to Vienna so they can send it to me to Canada. Honestly, that second option seemed a little to complicated... So I'm going back to Croatia next week. :)

Good luck to you all, I hope I'll read other's good news soon.
Jelena

I would not under any circumstances give the COPR document out of my hands to any mail agency :) I think going back to Croatia to pick up the document and return to Canada is the best option.

Hi Jelena,

Yes I think that you are doing the right thing by going to Croatia.. I know someone who got their PR in lost in the mail! My husband will do the same when he gets his PR - We are hoping soon! You have given us hope :) Again all the best to you! I’m glad that your nightmare is over and you can finally continue your life in Canada normally.. Good luck!!

Sometimes this happens. Try again tomorrow.

On a different note, looking at our spreadsheet, I see that more than half of the 2013 applicants didn't receive AOR from Vienna. Is this common practice? I applied in Dec and got SA approval on January 8. I assume the file is in Vienna, but with no AOR, how can I tell for sure? Send them a Case specific inquiry? Or maybe order GCMS notes? With the notes, I can also see if they have all our details (email address, home address, etc.).

I never received an AOR from Vienna but 8 days after SA approval I received an email from them asking for additional documents. My address is updated on ecas but in my GCMS notes there is still the old address under my name but the new address under my boyfriend's name. So I have to contact them to get it fixed so that one day, they can send the COPR to the correct address

Good news here!!

Got an email yesterday from Vienna requesting the following:

Re-Med
Updated Schedule A
New police Certificate

We are going to do the Re-Med in Canada, and once my wife returns to Holland on Feb 18th, get the Police Certificate. Then send all in.

Does anyone have an approximation of timeline once we have sent in the requested docs?

Also my assumption is there wont be an interview as they would request that on the email? Or would they STILL request after the docs are sent?

Any insights?

Willis

I don't know anything about the timeline after they receive your docs and I am not sure about an interview but I THINK the interview's waived ;-)

Great news Willis, congrats! We had the same request in January and everything was sent in 2 weeks ago. Now we wait, not sure what the timeline would be. I hope not much longer. :)

Hi again,

Just wondering if anyone knew what is the normal waiting time after the completed interview, 2nd medical, and updated Schedule A form has been sent?
We had the interview on Nov 19th, request for 2nd medical on Nov 25th, completed 2nd medical on Nov 26th, and sent the doc on Nov 28th - AND WE ARE STILL WAITING. (not to mention that we applied 2 YEARS AGO, Feb 22nd.).

Is it normal to wait this long after the 2nd medical?
Any similar experiences? Help? Please?
