I am the sponsor. I am sponsoring my husband.. Our Application was received April 12, 2013... Vienna Received the File May 10,2013... So we still have quite a bit of waiting to do.. And now if they bump up the months... I can't even think about it without being sick...

So your here with me on this side of the world, :)
we applied in Jan and they rec it in Feb 2013, so we've been waiting a while...i was hoping we would get it all sorted out by end of last year, like many of my friends have, but not that lucky. At least ill have a baby soon to take care of maybe then i wont think of this nonsense much.

Yes I am! Yes I would have thought the same for you as well, that you would have gotten everything by the end of last year.. With the initial waiting times you would have most probably... The baby will take your mind off of things for sure... However I still can’t comprehend why this has to be like this... :(

Hi Guys,

Just a little update. My wife's application was received November 30th, 2012 and the application was sent to Vienna around February 28th, 2013. Her application status was finally updated to "Processing" (or "In progress"... one of the two) and we received document requests from CIC. She'll have to do another medical exam (another 200 euros down the drain) and they've also requested police certificates that we've already summited, one of which was requested about 6 months ago and we received confirmation that it was received. Frustrating, but we're getting closer. At least they are looking at our application now.

Anyone else experienced these delays?

Lucky, at least u know its in process now...hopefully they will give u good news soon.

I got a letter from my MP, after they contacted Vienna, and in the lEtter it said the processing time is about 12-14mnts, and not to expect anything earlier then early summer. :(

By your time line 14 months should be early spring. Makes me wonder if they even contact VO's or just use a generic response to all requests.

So it this means processing time is jumping from 13 to 14 month? That will be bad additional month everytime. Good luck

I guess :(

Aren't they calculating the processing times from the time your application reaches Vienna VO? That's what they say in the AOR's, don't they?
In that case, it would be the early summer.

I am sorry that MP's response disappointed you, hopefully VO finishes it sooner for you. Don't worry, think about your baby, get your self occupied with your upcoming birth and stay strong.

From what i understand, its when the app was received in Vienna. I am disappointed, but at least now i got a better answer then before. Thank you for ur kind words. Hopefully all of us are reunited with our husbands/wives by summer 2014.

They responded with my husbands name and app number, and the time they received the app in vienna. It seems like someone actually wrote the letter, comparing other letters i got inquiring about application, it would always be a generic answer.

Yes its start to calculate your time when Vienna get your file so if they change it from 13 to 14 then 1 month in CIC all will be 15 month plus vienna slow, additional document or Interview. This is suck!!!

It does suck, they shouldn't have so many countries going through Vienna, they haven't really done any good to any of us by closing embassies in our countries.
