Wow i feel so lucky, got passport required for my wife this morning. Just want to let any newbies out there no that dont read too much about peoples processing times. It the one thing that drove me nuts because i thought id have to wait 13 or more months for my wife to get her PR. Anyways, i applied in Sep/12/13 and got an email with approval March/07/14 all in all only 6 months waiting with no issues at all! It all depends on individual situations. Anyways last time on this forum just want to say good luck to everyone waiting i no it sucks but in the end it is all hopefull. Good luck and farewell.

my husband is going to embassy on Monday in Vienna, and give the passport to them, he got the ticket for Sunday night and return is Monday afternoon, plz tell me, do you think, do they give the visa just within one day? we are worried!!!!

I assume they will issue the visa within one day. Just make sure your husband arrives in Vienna within the opening hours.

According to the website the opening hours are 8:30 to 10:30.

"Office Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30.'

Congratulations, that was super fast!

But I have to say, if you read better you would know that this process doesn't depend only on individual circumstances but so many external factors applicants cannot influence at all. Then you would also know that in this moment your case was an exeption and not a rule! I hope it will become a rule for new applicants now that Vienna has cleared the 2012 backlog caused from other European offices closing.

Are you with Vienna? If you are and you got processed so fast then by all means you are a lucky lucky man and (wife too )
You are an exemption to the rule of Vienna. having a process of 6 months is by far a lucky strike for you!
There are no "Depends on individual situations" here in Vienna. Ask anyone and you will see.

thank youu i feel very very fortunate, i did not expect this at all. The processing officer must of really liked me, ( or maybe its my status here in canada as i am an engineer) i dont no but as other people say there are so many external factors. I wish the best of luck to everyone here and hope for a speedy acceptance, as i no this is not something easy to be waiting on.

Kopje, i hope so too, they first asked me for proof of ongoing communication 2 weeks ago. Once that was sent they approved. Good luck

I applied Feb 22, 2014, transferred March 22,2014, asked for updated Scheduled A on Jan 28, status changed on Feb 28, visa issued on March 10.
