Hello,

I'm very happy to have found this forum since we are also stuck waiting for Vienna. My husband (Hungarian) and I have been waiting since July 2012 (when our application arrived in Vienna) and I just received our GCMS Information Request today which contained a lot of information. Anyone else still waiting after 15 months?

OMG, 15 months! There is totally something wrong with this system and with Vienna.
I'm not exactly sure, but your husband being Hungarian, did he serve in the military? I know some cases that waited this long with Vienna because they had to do background checks that lasted 10-12 months for the military stage.

My co-worker from Ireland got DM yesterday. Application filed in Feb 2013, VO London, type: common-law. 8 months total with London being on strike. Vienna sucks. I want the same timeline then I would get DM on Christmas

Oohhh no!!!!! Poor thing 15 months is a crap!!!! any ideas why they asked for GCMS info? He is visa exempt though , he could stay with you for 6 months if he has no job here.

I am too from last year, but a little bit shorter time (Sept. application, arrived in Vienna in Nov). This really sucks, has Vienna forgotten about us???
As far as I know, the last info received was we are pending background checks. Hope you will hear something soon. Just keep positive.

Hi Newpal,
we sent an e-mail in May to confirm they received the doc's they requested and to ask for a status update. This is what they wrote:
"Your application is pending background verifications. After we have received the background check results, you will be informed about the further steps in due course."
From what I read about background checks it seems that can take quite a long time.

They havent touched My File... so think how far m I standing

I am applying for TRV.. do I need to provide them MEDICAL and Police Certificate?? Note: I am Non-EU NATIONAL resident.. i.e. not from EU but living in Germany
