Oh God....I think...I also made a terrible mistake. My AOR is June 4, 2017.

For my son's birth certificate, I provided the following -

1. Photocopy of birth certificate stamped by Translator company
2. English Translation (Notarized)
3. Affidavit of translator (Notarized)
4. Certified true copy of birth certificate

I didnt provide the copy of the original birth certificate.

Shall I immediately raise the CSE and provide one complete set with copy of the original birth certificate (Total five documents)?

Please guide.

Thank you!

Folks,

I attached the below three docs but did not attach certified copy of the original. Could that be an issue ? I am so worried now

1 - Original nikkah naama in English
2 - notarized translation in English
3 - affidavit

In my understanding, for every documents which is not english or france, we have to scan and upload 4 pages:
1. original documents, doesn't matter in which language
2. translated version by translator
3.a copy which was made by the translator, it means he/she saw your original and made the translation according to the original one, so it is a certified copy
4. the license of the translator

If the original is on other language then you must provide that too.

Sorry for the typo, The first doc I submitted is Original nikkah Nama in URDU language.
Your translator didnt provide certified copy? Thats odd.

A copy which was made by the translator, it means he/she saw your original and made the translation according to the original one, so it is a certified copy and the license of the translator?

Can this work? http://imgur.com/a/qfZ9t

I think you will be fine
Nope. He gave me the translated document (notarized) and affidavit. What should I do now ? :(
I really dont know whether this can be reason of refusal. We know only in a case original is missing application is refused.

I am so confused now. Not sure how to go about it.
Well you can always upload missing document through webform CSE and explain it in LOE.

Sure. I still do not understand when original is attached with the application, why would the need certified photocopy. It makes no sense to me!

How can CIC tell that the translation is actually of the same document that you attached? You can, because you read both languages, but they see an original in your local language which they can't read, and another document in English.

The certified copy (certified by the translator), is the translator saying "This is what I translated". They will compare the certified copy to the original to see if they match (you don't need to understand the language to match two documents).

So, to recap, here are the documents you need, along with the reasons why you need them:

(Scan everything in color)

1. The original document -> you have to upload the original as this is the source doc
2. The translated version -> So CIC can read this and understand what it is
3. The Certified Copy (certified by the translator) -> CIC will compare this with the original. Obviously this has to match exactly
4. The affidavit -> This tells CIC that the translator is an approved and authorized translator.
