Maybe, but why did they say they couldnt see the translation aswell? This is exactly what they weote to my lawyer:
" Your application does not include ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE WITH TRANSLATED COPY". original was underlined by them

They wanted the original, and a translated version. Not a certified copy.

I would like to interpret it as they are not able to see the original document, along with the translated documents. In general CTC doc is required if original is not available. Does the translation or any other documents produced by lawyer mention the original document, if so probably they want the original too.

I may be wrong, however I do not see a reason for rejection here.

Hey,

The birth certificate that I got for my daughter from a union council has english and Urdu both. For this reason, I did not get it translated. Assuming you are from Pakistan too, not sure why you had to get yours translated :s

same here. As my child birth certificate is in both languages (English and Urdu); so didn't find any reason to get translation of this document before uploading.
Hope I did right thing.:(

As you know they issue a case specific checklist after they select a candidate from pool. My lawyer (I havent seen the checklist) says that there was no "Original marriage cert." In that checklist. If we suppose that you're right, then we must upload everything we have regarding a document and regardless of what the checklist asks for!

The checklist would have asked for the original.

About 30 days.

They are overworked.

Essentially you should have uploaded the original. Waiting for them to reopen your case is pointless as they will just repeat you should have uploaded the original.

Create a new profile and wait for a new ITA. Also fire your lawyer for not submitting the right documents.

Long story short, if you are from a non-english country and you translate documents, you need to provide originals everywhere!!

If I was sure that this is my lawyer fault I would do. But I am not. Anyway, I would let you know the result

If you are rejected, does it mean you can make another profile immediately?

Your lawyer was wrong. Document checklists are 99% the same for each person, the variances are for how many jobs you list etc. Consistently you are asked to upload the original version. If you didn't, then your lawyer was very much in the wrong.
