Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi Everyone,

I am also in the Jan 4 7:36 am (or 8:36 am) UPS batch and my cc was charged for $1,100 this morning:

01/16/2016 CIC CPR - CIC RTC TEMP $1,100.00

I am happy with UPS's service - I wrote the wrong address (the PO box one) on my envelope; they corrected it and send to the courier address for me on time.

Hi all,

Application to sponsor my parents was delivered on 5th jan 826 am via UPS and i am hopeful as CIC says that they received 14 thins application by jan 7 so it is not possible that all 10 thousand were received on first day so probably they are working and good news ll be on way soon.

Other than this i have some few questions in case if i am unsuccessful this time :

I sent photocopies of notice of assessments,would that be alright or they needed original ?
Also in financial evaluation form,you are asked to enter your employment and income to present date but i did enter employment for 2015 and didn't enter income as it has not been yet assessed and the requirement was income assessed for 2012-2014 only.And also if you have income from 2 jobs but form did not let you enter the 2 employers name as not enough space ? Though on assessment notice income is from both jobs combined.

Any thoughts

I can answer a part of your question.

As you did not have enough space, you should have used a separate sheet of paper and mentioned the details over there.

I don't understand what is copy and what is original of NOA? I printed my NOA from the site. So is it original or copy? And CIC is fine with it because they've charged me already.

Those usually take longer to show up in the spreadsheet, but you can call your bank and ask them to track it.

What courier did you use? If you're in one of the early ones and you had all the right info/forms, then you are probably fine. Don't stress too much, there is nothing you can do now

I didn't add a cover letter And no I have not received the first application

I called canada post too and was told that they don't have a control about the exact time of delivery. What the **! I was so pissed and hang up the phone instead of arguing with them. What I did was I fill up all the forms, save and email it to my mom. I told her to print 3 copies of each and then sign. 1 for her and 2 for me. The first application I used the option C print out and the second application I sent the original Notice of Assessment. Did you write a cover letter? Did they returned your first application? I am sorry but I am not sure, I understand how you feel but for now all you have to do is to wait.

As far as I know there hasn't been any certified cheque / bank draft / money order cashed. Maybe relax for now and call your bank on Friday. Although I feel like calling my bank right now...
