isnt the easiest way to ask them for transfer to the consulate of ur current residence

ex if in singapore transfer to canadian consulate singapore

You still dont get it. CIC wont transfer your file as it compromises program integrity. Even if you beg for it.

I am already in Canada. Even so I have to go to India to submit my file. Think about it.

Feb applicants !!

Any news!!

Regards
KB

right now the only option it seems they give is
we can re-ask them for PPR again if we arent in india at that moment

Mr_Bhatt,

Sirji, can you please tell me if you had applied for PR in india or in canada. If you applied in india and later moved to canada on a twp or visitor etc then it is according to the process that you get a PPR from india. But it is wierd when some body is already staying in canada on a twp and applied for PR within canada and later CIC decides to transfer somewhere and asks us to submit our PPR in our country of citizenship.

So far i saw all the cases who had applied in india and later worked or moved to other coutries due to work or visit. Is there any one who falls in this unique category of "applying within canada and received a request from india" and waiting for a PPR ?

Anyways this is hell lot of mistery until they acknowledge.

All the best you folks,

I actually came to on study permit and later converted to Post Grad Work Permit. I applied from Canada. When I was applying CPP-O was very slow and none in my network was getting any positive news. At that time NDVO was very efficient and one of my friend's friend got his Pr in just 4 months. Hence, I applied for NDVO as my visa office.

Regardless, of where you apply your file, your PPR will come from the Visa Office who is incharged of handling your file. In case of ours, it will be NDVO only.

It completely depends on the applicant's file. If CIC has any doubt, it will transfer the file to the local visa office to maintain their program integrity.

Do u know anyone or from ur experiences in forums who have changed their visa offices after their file has been transferred to NDVOseniors and experienced pls advise

Check with dhl. They have a courier service manual 2012 edition..... which says it can be done.....but only to consulate/embassy etc.

Dear kish190,

In the short Answer No You Cannot Submit your Passport to NDVO if you are out of country except Bhutan and Nepal.

I suggest you to do one thing you are planning to go outside INDIA or You are Holding Permanent Resident Status Of country where you Legally Admitted from last 1 year you may Transfer your Application by Requesting to Local Visa Office. BUT

Note:- Your Application will be process from Beginning and process will be Re-started for Your Visa Application.

I hope It Helps

Cheers

Alert – Strike Action
The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.
