Hi,
The operative term is "lived" or technically - you are deemed a resident of the country.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp - does state 6mos or more. The reason is more related to residency with respect to tax reporting. Typically, in most countries, a foreigner/visitor staying more than 6 months at a time is deemed not a visitor, but a resident (for tax purposes). Reason why also in some countries tourists/visit are allowed to stay up to 6months but not exceeding that.
With respect to your stays, it depends on the nature of your visits, and the period when you did the visits. If you were there as a business visitor, and during your stay used hotels/company provided housing, and had no ties (bank accounts, government-issued IDs, leases, work permits, etc.) to the country, then you are not a resident, and should not be required to provide a PCC. Even if you made successive trips that in total exceeded 6months, as long as the nature of those visits are temporary/business and did not exceed 6months for a single stay - you are not deemed as having lived in the country.
But there must be a valid reason for successive trips to a country, as this may become a 'red flag' into inquiring more to the nature of those visits, and thus a PCC may be asked of you. In your Supplementary Information - Your Travels form - what did you put as purpose for the trips to Jakarta? That will provide the VO a view into whether you will be required a PCC or not, if added information to clarify is needed, you may be asked to explain in writing in lieu of a PCC.
Jakarta - nice place. Travelled there a few times after coming from Bandung and also enroute to Batam and Palembang. A progressive capital, and population is actually young and dynamic.
/hope this helps...
