Hello everyone - to my suprise my COPR was in my mailbox this morning, having only mailed my passport photos and updated info form to Ottawa last week. Can't believe it came so quick! I plan to land at Toronto Pearson on my way back from a trip home in November.

Congratulations .. very happy for you .

Hey everyone

I've just spoke to CIC who have informed me that my application has been sent to London. They didn't say a date and I haven't received any confirmation or update. The online system still just says application received.

I'm deverstated to be being processed in London, not only are they taking forever, I will not be able to attend an interview should they ask as I'm pregnant. Knowing that it's going to be next year is heartbreaking. Knowing I will have to redo my police check and medical incurring those costs again is frustrating. Especially as my medical expires whilst I'm still pregnant! So will be delayed even more.

But trying to focus on positives, at least I'm here at home in Canada with my husband and my baby will be Canadian so will never have to go through anything like this. So I'm lucky in a lot of ways, I'll just have to forget about the application for now.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting for SA. Hope you have better news than me :)

You may not need another medical, they may extend them and they may also extend your police check . Positive news your here in Canada.

Got everything crossed for not needing to redo!!
Yes I am very lucky, plus I just got a new VR for another year which covers me until my next planned trip back.
I can't imagine going through this process being apart from my husband. I don't know how people cope who have to :(

Just came through by email:

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in Warsaw for further processing.

The PDF letter attached to the email is dated May 28, 2015. I'm on the spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet updated. I moved your row to the bottom of the 2015 sheet as your visa office is not London, Mississauga or Ottawa.

Ah bugger, ok sorry about that.

Hey gang,

Just got SA approval today too.

It's gone to London as expected. Looks like I just missed the boat on Mississauga fast track.

Oh well, I'm here on a work permit which has 2 more years, hopefully it comes by then!

Cheers

We got our MP to contact CIC and found out a couple things which explain why our application is taking so long to receive DM.

First, because of our mix up in originally submitting a Conjugal Application, then sending up-dated forms for Common-Law, THEN getting married this past January; London has asked Mississauga to "revisit" the sponsorship application as of May 11. Apparently, this is just a formality and the VO conveyed that we have nothing to worry about. This is a good thing because now we don't have to worry that CIC will deny our application because of the original Conjugal Forms and process us as married. My spouse is here waiting in Canada until the application is approved and has had his visitor visa extended until February 2016.

Second, they have extended the Medicals until April 28, 2016. :)

We are already a year into this process and it looks like it will take a lot longer for us, but it is amazing how much better a little bit of information can make you feel.

So for all the fellow London members waiting 12 months or more, I will be watching for your name to turn that beautiful green on the Spreadsheet. I will live vicariously through you until it's my turn :D

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum but I have been following this thread for some time now, finally got around to register today :) please add my details to the spreadsheet

Date application received in Mississauga: Nov 25 2014
medical received Nov 25 2014
Married
Date of sponsor approval: Feb 24 2015
London visa office
Date(s) of any other requests you've had: N/A
husband is UK citizen and visa exempt
current location of the principal applicant: Beijing, China

I also have a question about the interview. my husband and I currently live in China, we met 5 years ago and have been married for 2 years. I was shocked when our application was forwarded to London instead of Beijing like we had requested. nothing we can do now but wait. the only concern is, if we have to go for an interview, would that most likely going to be in London? or would we be able to choose the visa office closest to us.

thank you all

Hello,

I need EMERGENCY HELP.

I applied my case on 8th Aug 2014. Got remedical request on 28-05-2015 and in the letter from CIC it is clearly mentioned that I have 7 days to comply with the request.
I sent mail for appointment. but the appointment i have been given is after the 7 days limit. i have sent them many mails but they wont reply and give me any new appointment.
Can someone please guide me what to do as it is clearly mention in the letter that failure in complying with the request may result in refusal of my application.

request to all senior members for advice.

Is there anyone facing the same problem,??

Regards

Thanks :) I wouldn't fret too much about LVO. Our application is slower because we screwed up in the beginning, I'm sure your's will following a much more civilized time line. As for UK applications not being kept in LVO and being sent to Mississauga... well that is just luck of the draw and I'm sure once the backlog is completely cleared we will see less and less Mississauga applicants. Good luck to you too:)
