Hi Brian Vantana.
I would definitely advise you not to go down the Inland route. You can do the outland process entirely from Canada.

Oh I am just completely confused now. Both I am my girlfriend called immigration today so we could compare the advise we had been given. Both came back saying I should apply INLAND and at the same time apply for an open working visa.

They said I would then have an implied open working status until my actual open working visa comes arrives in about 11 months along with my first stage approval. Is this really what some people have managed to do? Seems the opposite of what I have read on here.

Also, is losing the right of appeal really that great a threat?

I do like the fact that the outland could all be done and dusted in a matter of months, but I would not be able to work during that time.

Just don't know what to do now? HELP!

Thank you :)

Looking at the spreadsheet now I can almost hope to get a PPR in a month!! But I´m trying not to hope for that, in my mind I´m thinking January/February would be great :)

Congratulations Mandy!! :D

It took London exactly the same amount of time to process both our applications, 41 days!! The fastest on the spreadsheet!
Congrats!

wonderful!

At the end of the day its totally up to you.

Losing the right of appeal is not really a big deal for you, since you're unlikely to get refused. Personally I would much prefer the idea of it being over and done with in less than 6 months (highly likely) than waiting for 11 months for stage one and a work permit. Plus you will not be able to leave Canada until the process is over or risk losing the whole application. The upside is you will have implied status and be able to continue working.

If you could afford to be here without working for a few months you should totally do outland.
When is your work permit valid until? January? So apply next month and things could be all tied up by April. And in the mean time the chance could arise for you to apply to BUNAC again. Worst case with outland, you are without a job for 3-4 months.

Ask others what they think about outland vs inland for a UK citizen.

It is though ultimately up to both of you and what you feel is right for you.

Good luck!!

Thank you very much. I really do think they outland is better for us and the fact that it could be over relatively quickly is a great thing.

Yep its definitely faster, there's no disputing that! MandyUK applied in late July and got her PPR yesteday, 108 days processing in total!! Not bad at all!
Outland is the way to go. Good luck!
