I echo everything Pinklady says. Outland is by far the quickest route. Regarding the medical, I think you will find that prices are generally more expensive to have this done in the UK. I had mine done in Toronto for $148 all in. It can cost £300-£400 in the UK. Just check out the list on the CIC website of Designated Medical Practitioners and call around. You have to take a form with you that is in the application pack (appendix A i think), and make sure you leave with your copy of IMM1017 which they will fill out for you there. They will usually tell you what to bring - passport photos are required, they will tell you how many, what size. They do a chest x-ray, blood and urine tests, as well as a general medical questionnaire.Brian Vantana said:Would I have to return to the UK for a medical? If so and we send my application in over the next couple of weeks, would I be able to fit a medical into our xmas plans whilst we are back in the UK between the 17th Dec and 6th Jan? Can you request a medical date or are you just given one?
Good luck Yasiin, I'm sure it will be fine. At least now u know it's in process!Yasiin said:Congrats to those who got ppr today. If you were the only applicant then only send your own...Fidget said:In the PPR it says i need to send my past along with accompanying family members. Do I need to send my wife and daughters even though they have canadian citizenship?

Completely true! A friend did inland, submitting their app in May/June 2010, only getting the first stage approval and able to apply for a TWP in April 2011. I think they eventually received full PR in July 2011. In contrast another person I know submitted in January 2011 and got their PPR 4 months later at the end of May this year. I can see no advantage to inland applications. Takes some people a while to realise it! Of course if they want to prove you wrong, who are you to tell them!!!??JenB said:Yay well done fidget! London is going so fast right now! I've got a friend in Canada who doesnt believe me that London is better than inland, I am going to print off the spreadsheet and tell him he's crazy! hehe
Congrats Fidget! Amazing news!Fidget said:Guys just got my PPR through!! Can't believe it, still in shock! Good luck to everyone else waiting, it is tough i know
