Hey, mg_bc! Welcome :P

It's been 3 weeks for me and I have no request for an interview or any news. I think this might be good as they would have asked for an interview by now if that's what they were planning to do...? I mean, I would have at least gotten a letter, right?

Good luck :)

Thanks Giggles! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for your case to go through soon, and mine not too long after! I've read about other cases being transferred to satellite offices, and it seems like it's not a bad thing. At least it's closer for sending our passports when the time comes!

i just got a response for my email !!!!!!!!!!!

We just got an email saying that my wife's file was transferred to LA to "expedite processing". I hope this doesn't mean an interview... I guess we're in the same boat as giggles.

I'm a little bit confused. Does the BUFFALO office always transfer files to LA after they have processed it?

Sometimes towards the latter half of processing, if Buffalo is a bit swamped on their end, they will expidite it to another visa office. I was under the impression that's a good thing because you are nearing the end. Not every file is sent to one of these offices, and it's neither good or bad if it is or isn't sent. It doesn't mean an interview. It's just to help the Buffalo visa office out and it's all on their end.

That looks like a form letter they use on anyone who looks into their case and they don't want to tell them what is going on. I'd be surprised if they even looked into your file.. maybe enough to see that they don't need any information, but probably nothing else.

Buffalo never seems to give any information. Try contacting your MP and see what they can find out.

In another question, when my husband "visits" me in Canada, should we change his address to mine and let the Buffalo office know? We still have to option to keep the same address because it's his parents place and they can forward his mail to us. Any thoughts?

My husband changed his address to mine (via email) after he received the AOR from Buffalo. His address on ECAS was updated a week later.

Our file was transferred to B'lo on June 14th and we didnt receive AOR until August 12 with a change in ecas on the 10th.

Buffalo seems to have slowed waaaaay down in the past few months. Someone I know that was approved for sponsorship in November '09 got her AOR in 2 weeks!! :o People who applied days before me got theirs quickly. Right when I get there, the works get all gummed up. Story of my life!!! :P

Wow! a month and half more for us, I guess.....but I guess I can still send an e-mail to them to change his address to mine? He is not planing to 'visit' until mid-sept. I hear from them before that.

Wow! That's a bit discouraging but I guess we can only hope!
