You're welcome. Try searching the forum for any threads mentioning contacting their local MP and you might find some helpful information there also.

amine - If I recall correctly, you said you had once lived in Tunisia? and that last time you were in contact with CIC they said your file was in background check? There's someone else on the forum that has been in background checks in Tunisia for quite a while (but I can't remember who, offhand). It could be that the Tunisian government/police is very slow at responding to CIC requests. It may have nothing at all to do with CIC....

just a thought...

Who would normally receive the AOR from BUF? The Sponsor or the PR applicant or both?

The PR applicant. The sponsor gets the approval of sponsorship from Mississauga, then the file is transferred to Buffalo for the PR applicant process. Buffalo forwards the AOR to the applicant once the file is recieved and processing starts.

I've seen in another forum that there is an e-cas tracker where it would send an e-mail should there be any changes on the status of your e-cas. Have you heard about it? I asked where I could sign up but the link given to me looked like a third party website and it asks all the information you would normal input if you were check it yourself. I was not comfortable giving them my information. Is there another way--through CIC website to send an automated e-mail?

No. The official website does not have a tool that will send you an email update automatically. The "ecas tracker" tool was developed by a third party and it basically just logs in as you on e-CAS so it needs all the information you would normally use to log in yourself.

I totally understand your being uncomfortable providing that information to a third party but its, unfortunately, the only option for automatic updates.

Thanks! I think I will just check myself :P

The 'third party' is a member of the forum. Many people have used the ecas tracker without incident, so it's safe! I use it myself :)

I also use it. It so far has been a great tool. Stops me from obsessively signing in to CIC when I know it's a waste of time ::) ;)

I'm really hoping for an October PPR as well. As soon as we get it we'll head to Buffalo. I am super anxious to get my OHIP before the birth.

As of last Friday, we were suddenly unable to login to ecase with the sponsor's info...this included client ID# and Reciept number......im waiting for aor...any ideas guys?

I am sure it is okay. It's just me being paranoid :)

We just got an email saying that my wife's file was transferred to LA to "expedite processing". I hope this doesn't mean an interview... I guess we're in the same boat as giggles.
