Yay, got CAIPS notes last night! I at least now know my medicals were passed, not just received, and that I am IN PROCESS as of Nov 4!!!!!

Progress! Nothing else was started. And we learned that my sponsor's photo was not approved, even though she was approved as my sponsor.

It was worth the early-ish request just to see the above news! My medicals expire in March, though. Come on CIC. Come ON!

If you picked up your visa in Buffalo on the day you landed, then we were likely stuffed in the waiting room at the same time.

What a small world it is!! I was at the consulate this past Thursday (November 10), so we were indeed in there at the same time!! Was it ever crowded in there, I really did not expect so many persons to be there. Also waiting in that room for 3 hours honestly felt like 3 days!

In the paragraph regarding sponsorship approval work they did, they noted her photo did not have a description on the back and was not admissible.

Still confused here. What site? If you select GCMS notes via email, there's a website you log into? News to me, I just figured it was sent as an attachment. Wouldn't you then be able to log into said site again without having to do a subsequent request for another set of notes??

The sponsor doesn't submit his or her photo (or at least does not according to the forms that existed at the time you and I submitted our applications), this is only for the PA....unless you're talking about a photo showing the sponsor that was part of the relationship evidence, which definetely does not need to have a "description on the back." So I'm quite lost here.....

Well I hope my wife never reads this thread. I'll be divorced! We were actually married in on DEC 31 2010 but didn't send our App in till May. Mostly because of me reading anecdotal evidence that the whole thing only takes a few months. She was coming here (Vegas) in May so I was just having her sign everything then and she was here for for 4 months. So in my head we were in the clear. Seriously biggest mistake of my life.

I figured I have the skills and people are always asking, why not give it a shot. Over the next few weeks I'm going to expand it to cover passport, citizenship and anything else I can cram in there lol. Heck, maybe it will take off and I can move to be with my wife before we're approved. Wouldn't that be novel. And thanks for the compliment on the picture I quite like that one. We did a really fun shoot in the sand dunes out in Death Valley after the wedding. There are some more here if you thought that was nice #1-4 & 8 are us.

And the earlier reference to a sponsor picture gave me a heart attack... lol...

I'm excited to hear the possibility of a login to check on our statuses... That is a whole level of transparency I'd never thought I'd see.

Anyone knows, if Buffalo office requires additional info, do they ask all at once or separately for each? They send us letter requesting for Singapore police clearance and in the letter they said they will not request for an interview. After they receive the Singapore police clearance the file will be complete or is the file in the initial review and will request for more info?

You're talking about one of the companies that orders GCMS notes for you (for a big fee), not the ATIP office there. Lol, I don't think we'll be seeing "great news!" at the beginning of any communication coming from CIC...seems a bit too informal for their taste.
As for the photo thing, if that's the only thing that was written in the notes, how do you know it referred to the sponsor?

Are you presently in Canada? If so, you paid *WAY* more than you had to. The site most of us link to is the immipedia page for ordering notes. There are links to the ATIP form and how to send it in there. And, if you are in Canada, it's free. If you're not, but you have a friend or family member who is, you pay $5.
