Finally an update for this thread. This morning my eCAS updated to "In Process":

We started processing xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx's application on December 6, 2010.

Considering the fact that my sponsorship was approved and transferred on November 9, that is a pretty delayed update. Almost an entire month of seemingly nothing happening with my file at all. But it's good to finally hear something at least. Let's hope that whatever was slowing down Buffalo does not continue to do so, and that others start seeing updates soon.

Congrats Rinnerz. I'm glad they've started your application. I hope they blow through you guys pretty quick, and move on to us November folks!

It would seem a month is about the average between when CPC-M approves sponsorship, and when Buffalo actually begins looking at it. It's unfortunate, but at least you know it's being looked at. As the holidays are quickly approaching, perhaps they won't look at yours (and others) as hard as usual, in order to wrap up this current batch before everyone takes time off of work. It's a nice though eh?

Now all you're waiting for is your decision made and passport request! :)

From all the Buffalo timelines over the past few months that I've been looking at from time to time, there is usually only about 2 weeks (give or take a few days) between the time sponsorship is approved and when Buffalo officially says the file is "in process", although they don't actually update eCAS to show this until later. But it really all depends, I guess.

Haha, would be nice! But I won't get my hopes up.

:) Good way of looking at it. I spend so much time worrying that I hardly ever stop to think of things in a more positive light.

Congrats Rinnerz! I totally understand about worrying and not being able to see the positive side of things :)
Congrats Lee!!! I always wonder why some offices ask for the passport up front and others don't. I would hate to be without my passport for so long. Things are moving for you both :)

congrats lee_rockz and Rinnerz.
Great to see things moving here in Oct thread :)

Just got the CSQ in the mail today from Québec! The letter was dated Dec. 9, but we just received it.

i'm still waiting for my letter. it was sent on 9th too.

edit: got the CSQ approval letter. they sent it to my home address, instead of the mailing address i provided.

Update on the Buffalo front. Meds recieved, interview waved and a request of the common law declaration. I'm thinking maybe because we had submitted and inland app first then withdrew it. Excited hopefully we're almost done!
