I am being sponsored by my Canadian wife and Singapore has started processing our application from September 23rd.

They send me a letter on december 2nd to submitt my PR fees and to complete IMM008 Schedule-1 Question 11 as we provided time gaps in filling that Background question. In addition with that Missisauga sent a letter to my Wife in Canada asking for my PR fees on December 3rd.

Although we submitted our PR fees on November 24th and when I called CIC call center then they said Missisauga got my Receipt on december 7th and on the same day they sent a Receipt to Singapore.

And now my question is in what stage we are in now?
How long it might take to get my PPR/

Thank you

Sadatul I know for people in buffalo having the Pr requested are getting there PPR about 6 weeks after submission of the fees. So it would seem you're in the final stage.

Hi all, here's the latest updates, congrats to all who have their applications moving. My only update is my husband is now home for Christmas which is great, and I've also finished decorating my house – hurrah!!!

Hopefully we'll get some more notifications this last week before Christmas, as it seems to me, everything is moving quite slowly right now, or at least for us in London VO.
Thanks for the update Madif, it helps feed my obsessive checking. I know how you feel about the London VO. I want to see people getting ppr just so I know that my husbands might be coming up soon!

hey, i hope someone can help me with this. i have couple questions i like to share with you...

*we received sponsorship approval mid of november, although my sponsors name is spelled wrong. we send email immediately to mississauga. nothing has happened since, name in ecas is still not right. and we havent receive any emails/letters from cic.
should we send new email? to mississauga/london?

*we are applying outland and im visiting in canada right now. we sent visitor visa extensions same time as pr application(mid october, like 1,5 before mine expires). if i get denied, do i have chance to apply again? or i just have to leave the country in 30days?

thanks and i hope we get updates this week!!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

Millu the chances of you getting denied are very slim. I've only heard of one case where the wife was denied. If you included all the documents and proof of Pr payment I'm pretty sure you'll be allowed to stay. In regards to the other question I'm not too sure. I thought my name was spelled incorrectly on ecas but it was only because they could only put so many letters in the space allotted :) they missed the last letter in my middle name and it showed up the same on my sponsorship approval letter.

Millu, we have the same problem here, they spelled wrongly the sponsoree name.
We called CIC and they told us to send a letter to Mississauga and London UK with a copy of her passport. We've done it but no news so far and the error still appears on ecas.

Otherwise I think you can add us in your table MandiF:
We sent the application on the 23/10, they received it on the 26/10, we are going through London and a positive Decision was made on 23/11 for the Sponsor Part.
Currently waiting for London to start processing, hoping to get something before Christmas...

Thank you so much!
What comes to visitor visa, we added copies of passports(also page where you can see that i left last time before visa expired),receipt of pr fees, my hubbys bank/mastercard statement, letter from my hubby that he is willing to support me, copy of marriage certif. and pay my planeticket when my visa expired etc. i hope we can get it :) it makes me nervous...

i can log to ecas using my hubbys wrong spelled name. its just one letter is wrong. his name starts re, and they spelled it ro...
maybe we will send letter to mississauga and london just to make things clear. its annoying, they had so many papers and copy of passport etc with name spelled right...

i hope octobers can get some updates before xmas!! :)

im also little concern about my bad credit/dept in my home country, i dont care if it follows and i have plan to start paying it back when i start to work. i hope it doesnt make a difference with permanent residence application. otherwise im healthy with no police records etc...

this is the most stressful time ever...but lets try to be strong!!!

Millu sounds like included all the correct paperwork so I wouldn't be concerned about that at all! As for the sponsors name being spelled incorrectly I wouldn't worry about that either. If they spelled your name wrong then I would take steps to correct it.

Everything will be good. That's what my boyfriend tells me when I stress out all the time :)

Thank you! My hubby doesnt understand my concerns :D he doesnt seem any chance that i would be refused. I hope i can get the ppr soon, or atleast they would open my case. I am planning to send update proofs to london after xmas :D just to make sure. I even got part time job offer already, so i can start work immediately after landing(or can i?) so i cant wait!!! :)

This forum has been huge help. and relief my stress :D

"In Process" in the table is when your eCAS updates to show an "In Process" status for your PR application; it means they have begun processing your file, and it will normally tell you exactly when they started processing. The reason it shows up before people receive AOR is because, normally, people have to wait for the AOR letter to arrive in the mail. Whereas eCAS seems to be updated sooner/faster, probably due to it being online.

Even though they don't seem to update eCAS as soon as they start processing your file, it does get updated within a week or so of being opened--which seems to still be earlier than AOR letters arrive.

This is all assuming your visa office actually updates your eCAS to show this, though. It seems that some visa offices just don't do this, or are very slow about it.

Edit: I just wanted to add that some people have their "In Process" and "AOR" dates as being identical. I assume this is because their eCAS didn't update, but their AOR letter told them when their file started processing.

Thanks a lot, my visa office is Bogota and nothing updated on eCAS yet...
