At the rate mine seems to be going, I'd be happy just to get an eCAS update or my AOR this month.

I am beginning to think they have a thing out for those of us married to a Newfie lol jk But it has been 5 months for me and I still can't sign into e-CAS... :

@ rinnerz i think we do have the same situation but a lil bit earlier filed my application..it's been a month already since my hubby was approved as my sponsor until now i haven't receive any call,email or letter from the embassy..no update on my ecas too says not available n no AOR still.. :'(

Haha, totally a Newfie thing . But yeah, let's hope both of us hear something sometime soon.

@lee_rockz18: It does depend on which visa office your file is being processed at, too. I have no idea about the timelines for yours, but for me, going by all the recent updates for others whose files are at Buffalo, I definitely should have heard something by now. Today makes it 1 month since sponsorship was approved and my file transferred to Buffalo. So either something is up, or Buffalo is suddenly falling behind on updating eCAS (more than usual) and sending out AOR letters.

Hi there! I have no news, still waiting...inland applications are the "slowest" ones. I called CIC and the agent told me the same thing - 8-9 months and only after that time I'll be able to see the status in ecas.

I was told that since I mailed in my application with the stuff I'm missing I go back to the bottom of the pile...so I guess take me off the October listing

called MICC today and they say they have mailed my CSQ yesterday. so hopefully i will get it next week.

waitingforwife, Great to hear you are getting your CSQ! I have heard nothing so far, but hearing you got yours makes me happy and since I think you sent yours maybe a week or so before me, that helps me know that mine is not too far away either, assuming all goes well. Are you faxing a copy to your VO? After reading about Dralon's experience on the Buffalo thread, I have gotten a bit nervous about that part of the process (of the MICC communicating to a VO that a CSQ was given.)

MICC : Ministerie de Immigration et Communautés culturelles Québec
CSQ: Certificat de sélection du Québec

you only need this if you planning to stay in Quebec province. Rest of Canada doesn't have to do this.
