Pharoh, we got the AOR via email. No snail mail or anything. But the Initial Assessment is via snail mail.

Don’t you worry. We are only week apart. I’m sure you’ll get yours soon!

I receiced my AOR letter in the mail today! They sent it to my previous mailing address
hence the delay with the post office. They sent back my original marriage certificate as well( I should have just sent a copy). What's next? A letter with initial assessment? What is the time frame on getting that?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Of course, like everything else, not everyone is going to get the same things. We may or may not get an initial assessment. It may go straight to a request for documents (hopefully not), or perhaps right to PPR (after sitting in queue for final review by an IO).

We'll have to see if anyone else receives anything in the mail.. but for now, back to waiting... :

Nope, it's something some people have been able to see in CAIPS notes, and I think a couple of people have received letters saying something along the lines of "we've received everything we need from you, and your application is awaiting final assessment..." Again, not everyone gets it though. You never know. Each person is different, it seems.

Soo....CIC Website still says that they've been working on my application since January 27th [via email] - never received a letter via snail mail, and I never received my stickers!

Hopefully being that Juliet's time line is a week ahead of mines I shall be receiving something by next week!

Yes DKA! I never received anything too via snail mail until this Initial Assessment. Hoping you here something soon!

but for ecas when we check files ive been checking it using the receipt number (im the sponsor) and my info.. are you guys (you are away from canada trying to get sponsored) using your own info to track from phase 2 or what.. im a bit lost with this

Oh boy,
I'm quite depressed.

The email reply from Sydney immigration office said they have no record of receiving my police check or driving history report.

I'd taken a photocopy of the reports (but not certified) so therefore I can't use them as they are firm on wanting originals.

So I resign to call the police and all but beg for another "original". They tell me that they can't redo an original but since my fingerprints were done so recently to come down directly and do the paperwork and pay for the name check only and they can match it up with the fingerprints. Of course when I get into the city they tell me that I have to do the entire thing again!!! Aghghgh! It's just stressful because I had to take a precious half day off work again and more money and waiting to get it done. The driving history I don't mind so much, will arrive sooner and is less than $10.

Here we are again, the good old waiting game. I'm paranoid there will be more issues with this police check or it could get lost in the post again. Can't give up hope though. Anyone else seen the film "127 hours"? I saw it last night, how inspiring, reminds me to try to stay calm and trust it will work out exactly as it is supposed to.

I am so sorry Canadayogini. Here you were trying to be proactive when you realised the documents were missing...guess you should have hung onto the documents and waited for them to ask for them. I guess hindsight is 20/20. Oh well, at least once you have those documents in, it looks like it shouldn't be much longer after that. Fingers crossed this process hurries up for you as I know time is crucial.

I haven't seen the film but it sounds good. I do believe that things will work out exactly how they supposed to...it is just so hard sitting and waiting for things to happen!

Guys, i still ve "application received" on e-cas status and the letter of decision is awaited. can any one tell where my case would be either in Mississauga or in Islamabad embassy ? and when my status gona change to "in process". anyone else with same status ?
