I don't believe you list vacations taken unless the embassy you're applying to requires you too for example Paris. You would list the travel is for example you werent working. You do have to list every job you've ever had though.

Ugh, that was a fun process. 6 jobs in 5 years, and trying to remember timelines. Thank God they didn't ask for references... I burned a few bridges in my youth. ;)

ah, but you're really young pharoh! Only 5 years? I had to remember all my jobs for the past 27 years! I've changed jobs a lot too. Even worse was trying to find out my old addresses.

Hello My Darlings!

Any Ecas update for you folks? I've had NOTHING in the last 2-3 weeks really... So curious :)

Cheers.

Still no update for me. London received my application on the 17th of December. So we're coming up for two months that they've had it. Surely they'll have started it. Maybe they are just rubbish at updating eCas. I wish I would just hear something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing, though to be honest, I'm not expecting any new activity until March. I hope that 'activity' is PPR, as opposed to say, a request for additional documents, etc.

my husband got USA green card visa!!

definitely a scam mail.
USAFIS Organization - Diversity Visa (DV) winner

very bad joke for someone longing for immigration visa.....lol :D

Same thing here. -Application Received on Dec 6th- :(

At least we received our AOR letter today. It's dated Feb 8th. They say it might take up to 7 - 9 months. Sigh...

Thanks everyone, really helpful advice. I phoned their offices this morning but they only do email communication... so I'm still waiting on the reply to be sure.

The police won't print another "original"... the only option would be to reapply, a long process :-(

I also was concerned about the IMM0008 Schedule 1 form, Q11, as to how much detail to go into with activity, eg. do I need to list every single holiday or travel as well (I used to travel for business so that would be a nightmare and would be hundreds of lines long).

So anyways, still waiting on the reply. The nice lady on the phone (without looking at my case specifically) said I should hear the reply today so then I will be more clear on what to do.

Did you get a reply from your email? How are things going?

Yeah same here for us.. My husband was at the embassy the other day to hand in a document they lost and he was told 4-6 months from the time they have all the documents together at the local VO.

knowing our embassy though, i'm guessing its gonna be longer :( probably closer a year :(

Hey,

Didnt you guys keep a copy of the original and get it notarized by a laywer before you sent out the originals?? If you have it, you can hand that in. We got all the copies certified/notarized just because we were prepping for worst case scenario.

You can always request for another traffic report and federal check if you would like. took us a week to get it sorted. We decided to get it just incase they come back and say that they need another original. My husband recieved it in the mail soon after the request (we asked for finger prints too). Only thing is, we attached a copy of the original that has been issued to us (this copy was not notarized/certified) with a letter.

Cheers.

This is awesome news. So you guys received a paper AOR already, and now a letter of assessment, correct?

Congrats! You should have the actual letter by now... can you see if it was sent to the wrong address?

Do you think it's possible they haven't sent a letter yet? Don't they give an initial assessment? Perhaps they are checking to see if they need to request docs before they send out a letter?. The doctor sent my meds back in September but I didn't send my application til November. I'm hoping the med results met up with my file and they didn't lose them! What's the best way to find out if a letter is being sent out? Call Buffalo directly? Fax? Email?
