Hi Cherlyn -- its just aggravating I know, but, we're probably just being impatient. abedelia for example had their package received at cpc-m on the 10th of march, mine not til the 29th, so, until abedelia hears something, i'm not really expecting to hear anything on mine.

Don't worry too much. Mine was received on March 3rd and I still don't have anything and cannot logon to ecas. I'm not sure what kind of system they are running over there. Also, if you look on the February thread, there are some folks whose application was received on Feb 17th and they also don't have any news yet. Frustrating huh?

Every-time I talk to my wife she seems more and more dis-heartened. She's always asking "Why do so may people want to go to a cold country like Canada anyway" .

Don't worry, can't be a year. They do not have the "right" to keep apart a family more than 4 month ( you have right of appeal ).

Who knows when are they collect the passports? I'm very affraid they will "sit on" my passport for a long time and I will be stucked in the US. I heared cases when they asked 2 month ahead for the passport before the case was finalized. This is crazyyyyy guysssss and I hate games without rules.

totally agree with you the worse is that even they break their own rules ad do not care... By that i mean not following the order the letter were received like in my case i am one of the 2 that are waiting for them to open my envelope they received February 17. We have to wait but it is painful to be apart your better half, it is just more painful seeing others being accepted as sponsor when their wait was less than yours

It will take about 10-15 days for file to get to ND office. Once they will start processing it your PR application status will change to "In Progress". Sometime they ask for passport right away and sometime they will ask when they are ready to make final decision. I think its mainly depends on officer and your case.

Is your case very straightforward?

Also take a look for my time below, it should help you determine how long it could take.

Yes my case is straightforward but i spent four years in uk for which i had provided them acro police clearence and i had applied under skilled labour category too in december 2003 but i had updated them that my wife had applied for me too. they said they are ok with it. both of your cases will be in process and they will close the other case once decision is made on any of these two cases. any suggestion stars?

Hi abedelia,

This is not true. You will still have access to e-cas (unless they upload your information incorrectly) and CPC-M upon approving your sponsor will even include in e-cas that the application has been forwarded to MICC (the Quebec office that will issue your CSQ).

Can anybody explain how is it possible to receive an answer who sent the applic at the end of March and a lot of us with the begining of March applications waiting for that stupid notification. This is not fair at all.

Everything is a case by case basis. Maybe an IO got to an app and didn't bother to update E-CAS, or is taking their dear sweet time on processing it and sending the letter. I'm sorry that some are not getting a response while others are. It's frustrating and nerve racking to just sit and wait, but that is all we can do. Writing and complaining on this board isn't going to make it go faster. I'd rather see someone's progress then a complaint in which no one can really help as this is all just a waiting game now. We can't all get processed at the same time. Try to stay positive. We're only a little over a month from when we all sent the apps (some less than that). There will be more months to wait unfortunately and it's out of our hands. Chin up everyone. I'm saying a prayer that we can keep our patience during this process.

Seeing cases like yours moving quickly nej gives me hope that soon I'll be joining the ranks who have at least gotten through the sponsorship part. Its hard to be patient I'm terrible at it. So, seeing others make some progress is better on focusing on my own lack of forward movement.

It seems like everyone that is getting their application responses from Mississauga did not mail them from Ontario, is there anyone who got a response from Mississauga and they live in Ontario ?

Maybe they are processing depending on where the application got mailed from.....
