    Photo Negatives needed?

    I think the negative requirement is to imprint your photo ID onto the x-ray. Some DMPs require this. It makes no sense for immigration to accept digital ID photos and also require a negative. I didn't send a negative and neither CHC-M nor CHC-Colombo asked for it.

    What happens next: The whole application is sent to CHC-Colombo. This takes 2 weeks or so. An I/O will examine the application and look for missing information. Any missing info, like police background checks will be requested. In my wife's case, they requested a copy of her National ID Card...

    How did you write your "Outline of Relationship"?

    I agree with doing things in point form with a very short description of what happened in your relationship and marriage and tie it in with the provided evidence. My guess is that an IO will spend a few mininutes at most to ensure that all the requested evidence is there - phone records, photos...
