Wow! It seems like it Sept. 21st was a very busy and good day for a lot of the July group! Congratulations to everyone who got some good news!

Well, I just sent off my passport today...that is a scary thing to do! I can't even count how many times I checked, doublechecked, even triplechecked the address and making sure I did everything correctly, but it's done! Now we wait, the email said it could take 15 business days before I get it back, so I'll use that time to start packing up my house (which is going to take a LONG time.) Because our timeline went super fast I am way unprepared and have lots of things to do before I can land

Ugh, my hubby and I just noticed today that we forgot to include a piece of paper with our application. Nothing required, but we decided to go above and beyond and do all his state checks along with the FBI one, just in case. I was going through some of my filing and saw the letter from NY stating no criminal record found...I paniced and checked the photo copies of what we had sent in, we sent in the report that says they are running a report on such and such person with all his info, picture and print data and then under where the results are is nothing. But I never sent the official letter...argh!

Now I am torn...do we send it in without a request for it? Or do we wait and see if they want it at all. Either way, we do not want to delay the processing at all. My stomache is in knots right now.

Oh bad news! The New York Consulate did indeed call me, but they were looking at someone else's file when they told me that I got my residency. They clarified by email later that day.

I had a really happy few hours in there, though....

They must have just been seeing into your future though so I would be expecting it soon. *hugs*


As far as mine goes, I am growing more impatient. Still no word as to whether it is in process yet or not.
Don't want people to think I disappeared. I will let you know the moment it shows that it has started processing.

tough luck silverbee, but hey try too look at the bright side, it wasn't an outright denial and at least you know they are working on your file. Hope it goes by fast for you in the future!

So my hubby is now here to wait out the rest of the process. Hopefully won't be too much longer.

Had a breeze of a border crossing. We prepared for the worst, but had we not prepared we would have had a hell of a time. He asked citizenship, where home was for both, and when he would be returning. We said Christmas and then I said we are just waiting on her PR status to come through really, but if we do not get it by then he will be going back.

He just nodded and then handed back our passports. No visitor record, no stamp, no nothing. Was great.
