I don't think it is business days! I think the processing time is 43 days if you pay your fees at the same time as sending your app because the fees take about 4 weeks to process. If you pay your fees ahead of time it is quicker.

Applications sent in the beginning of June are hearing back now so I think we should hear back soon.

I too think it's just 43 days flat.

That said, I paid my fees in advance, and they've already processed it thru my credit card. And I haven't heard anything yet. I'm just 3 days behind the pp.

If it were 43 business days they would have mentioned that and I dont really think it matters if we pay in advance or not as it surely wouldnt take 4 weeks to process a payment . Just wondering if you read that some or did someone from CIC mention that to pay in advance is beneficial to the time it takes to process?

I too have heard it is good to pay in advance, and that it can take time to process - not on your credit card, but have the payment acknowledged and attached to your application.

I honestly just assumed that it was business days, but have absolutely no reason why - I guess just because it's government related?? I hope I didn't upset anyone!!

Dont worry minna, I dont think anyone its upset...I guess we are all anxious and wish time went faster.

People from June´s thread started to log on Ecas aprox. a month after they sent their applications, so I hope the same happens for us. CIC hasnt updated their website yet, which is usually on Tuesdays.

still haven't heard or received anything from CIC-M yet. i can't log in to ecas as well. a lot of people can log in to ecas after 30days and/or received their letter of approval...

i'm losing hope...

hey dont lose hope....you are saying that MOST ppl hear within 30 days and thats not your time!! im on the same timeline as you and havent heard yet so all we have to do is be patient. a few more weeks....lets plan on that and be happy if it is sooner?

its too hard to base your timeline on someone elses....i know its hard (in the same boat) but its necessary for our sanity!!

i am june applicant n my appl'n ws rcvd @ CPC on 30th June2010. i am yet to hear frm them ..

dnt worry .. they r taking min 6wks to process the appln. Only during 6th wk ur appl'n will be opened and processed.
do be patience ...

Well, in my thought then - it's not really so much that it takes 4 weeks to process the payment - more over than it just is part of the process. The way it's said, implies if you pay earlier, it'll go faster. Which may be the case but I'm not sure it is. I imagine that it's all just a step in the process -and if it takes 4 weeks to do that - and they get your payment the same time as your application, then it doesn't really factor in?

Or I might just be confused, which is totally probable! Haha!

By that, I should hear something in 2 weeks. Crazy!

pices17, I'm not sure. Sorry. I honestly, personally feel that it is 42 days (currently) no matter what.

So our packages are sitting around waiting for about a month before they are opened. Keeping my fingers crossed this timeframe drops or at least doesn't go higher (was 65 days a couple months ago).

With any luck my app will be looked at in early Sept since I just mailed it today
