Today I randomly decided to log on to E-Cas and it worked!!!
it says "decision made" and that a letter was mailed out on May 6.. so it took 5 weeks. not bad.

For your sake lets hope that you are right...about faster processing at AD...from what I have read and heard AD has one of the worst case processing times....

i can see ur very excited as ONE STEP DOWN i wish u all success and very best.
can i ask a personal question? is it normal for canadian women like yourself to marry boy overseas in pakistan?

Yusuf

well I have lived here my whole life.. I know a few other girls who marry back home who have grown up here as well. So I guess it is normal. Its just a matter of who you fall in love with! right?
I mean my husband and I fell in love 1 year before our engagement so I guess you could call it a love marriage. and he's not like the other guys back home, hes very open-minded as I am which is why I decided to marry him (plus another million reasons). I know I could never find someone like him in the rest of the world, let alone Canada! lol I hope that helps :P

I think you can change where your application can be processed after you submit your application. I am not 100% on that...maybe a senior memeber can answer that question for you..... or maybe try calling the cic call center they will be able to help you out...

My app is a family class -parents...it has been 32 months..its more than the average wait for 100% processing..(noted on the CIC webstie for processing times).....and I know for a fact that it is a straight forward application.....

If you scan through this website, most people in the UAE prefer to go through london, and not AD..mainly because it is faster....

Good luck with your application...
If you scna

thank you lands for your reply....
i am getting mixed opinions about whether or not i can change the visa processing office after submission of application.... and i dont know where can i get the absolutely right info.
dont know how can people go through london if they reside in UAE, however i was thinking of changing the visa proc office to delhi as it seems to be processing very fast...... perhaps you could give me the number to cic call centre..... so i can try and call them ... lets see if that works....
actually one tends to hear so many different things from people that it becomes difficult to understand what and how to go about things..... last of everything left will be to wait.. .till the turn comes up... and things go our way............ :)
just hope n pray things happen ... and fast....
all the best to everyone

I sent the application for my common law partner on April 1, 2010 (April fools day....maybe a bad idea). No word yet about sponsorship approval, but I check online everyday.

Good luck everyone!!

I believe they update E-CAS every Tuesday, so don't drive yourself crazy by checking every day...tempting, tempting, I know.

Any luck anyone? I'm just over 5weeks..

How come do u guys get approved within 4-5 weeks when the CIC website clearly says it takes up to 69 days?
